A RESOLUTION ORDERING A RECALL ELECTION FOR
THE OFFICE OF MAYOR, CITY OF EULESS, AND
ESTABLISHING THE DATES AND TIMES OF EARLY
VOTING FOR SUCH ELECTION
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article IV, Section 8, of the Euless City
Charter, it is provided that within fifteen (15) days after the
date of the filing of the papers constituting a recall petition,
the person performing the duties of city secretary shall present
such petition to the Council, and it is the duty of the Council to
order an election and fix a date for holding such recall election,
the date of which election shall not be less than forty -five (45)
days from the date such petition was presented to the Council, or
from the date of a public hearing afforded the officer subject to
the recall, if one was held.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1
The City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, at a regular meeting
held this date, does hereby order a recall election for the office
of Mayor of the City of Euless, Texas, to be held October 8, 1994.
SECTION 2
All qualified voters determined by the laws of the State of Texas,
the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Euless shall be entitled
to vote at such election. For the purposes of said election, the
entire City is hereby constituted into two voting precincts.

Said election shall be held between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00
p.m. on the aforementioned date.
SECTION 3
Early voting for the above designated election shall be conducted at
the City of Euless Midway Recreation Center, 300 West Midway Drive,
Euless, Texas, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday, beginning September 19, 1994, and ending October 4,
1994. Applications for a ballot to be voted by mail shall be
addressed to the Office of the City Secretary, 201 North Ector
Drive, Euless, Texas 76309, to be received no later than 5:00 p.m.
on September 30, 1994.
SECTION 4
The ballot shall be set forth substantially in the following form,
so as to permit the electors to vote "FOR" or "AGAINST" the recall,
to wit:

SECTION 5
Notices of the election prescribed by this Resolution shall be
promulgated, published and posted in keeping with the laws of the
State of Texas, and the Charter and Ordinances of the City of
Euless.
SECTION 6
The results of the election shall be certified, canvassed and
returned in the form and manner prescribed by the laws of the State
of Texas and the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Euless.
ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the Euless City Council on the 9th
day_of August, 1994, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0
abstentions.
