AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONGESTION
MITIGATION AND AIR QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
AGREEMENTS WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
OF 1.) CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS ON WESTPARK WAY
FROM S.H. 183 TO PARKVIEW DRIVE; 2.) BOTTLENECK
IMPROVEMENTS ON ECTOR DRIVE FROM S.H. 183 TO
TROJAN TRAIL; 3.) BOTTLENECK IMPROVEMENTS ON
GLADE ROAD AT BAZE ROAD; 4.) BOTTLENECK
IMPROVEMENTS TO N. MAIN STREET AT S.H. 183.
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation and the City of Euless desire to design
and construct 1.) capacity improvements on Westpark Way from S.H. 183 to Parkview Drive;
2.) bottleneck improvements on Ector Drive from S.H. 183 to Trojan Trail; 3.) bottleneck
improvements on Glade Road at Baze Road; and 4.) bottleneck improvements on N. Main Street
at S.H. 183, hereinafter identified as the "Projects ", and
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation Federal share of funding for the Projects
will not exceed an average of sixty seven percent (67%) of the cost of the Projects, and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless agrees to participate in the design and construction of the
Projects by providing funding, preparing design documentation, acquiring the necessary right -of-
way, accomplishing utility adjustments and other necessary items required by the Texas
Department of Transportation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Euless City Council hereby accepts the
terms of the agreements proposed by the Texas Department of Transportation and authorizes the
Mayor of the City of Euless to execute in the name of the City of Euless all necessary
applications, contracts and agreements to implement and carry out the purposes specified in this
resolution.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless,
Texas on the 28th day of February , 1995, by a vote of 7 ayes,
0 nays and 0 abstentions.
