AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED FOR THE
CONVEYANCE OF REPLACEMENT
PARK LAND PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF HURST
WHEREAS, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, in conjunction with the City of Euless has
initiated construction of the Sulphur Branch Channel Improvement Project, hereinafter identified
as "Project ", and
WHEREAS, the Project requires the construction of concrete stilling basin and rock rip -rap
improvements in the City of Hurst's Rickel Park;
WHEREAS, Rickel Park was acquired with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department grant funds;
WHEREAS, the grant requires the replacement of property on which recreational use is
terminated;
WHEREAS, the concrete stilling basin and rock rip -rap improvements terminate the recreational
use of a portion of Rickel Park;
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has agreed to convey replacement park land property to the City
of Hurst;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Euless City Council hereby authorizes the
Mayor of the City of Euless to execute in the name of the City of Euless a Special Warranty
Deed for the conveyance of replacement park land property to the City of Hurst.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless,
Texas, on the 13 day of June , 1995, by a vote of 6 ayes, 0
nays and 0 abstentions.
