WHEREAS, Article 2370c -4 provides for the creation of a crime control and
prevention district by a municipality located within a county with a population of more than
one million; and
WHEREAS, the foregoing law requires that seven persons residing in the proposed
district to service as temporary directors of a proposed district; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to initiate those steps required for the
proposal of a crime control district for the City of Euless, subject to a confirmation election
as may later be provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1
A crime control and prevention district composed of the entire corporate limits of the City
of Euless is hereby proposed.
The following persons, all of whom reside in the proposed district, are hereby appointed
to serve as temporary directors of such district:
Mary Lib Saleh
Bobby Baker
Carl Tyson
Todd Smith
Charlie Miller
Glenn Walker
Tom Hart
City Manager Tom Hart is appointed on an interim basis until a Council Member, Place
6, is elected.
ADOPTED at a special called meeting of the Euless City Council on the 18th day of
September, 1995, by a vote of 3 ayes, 2 nays, and o abstentions.
