EULESS ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY BOARD
March 13, 2024
ITEM 1 — CALL TO ORDER
A regular meeting of the Euless Animal Shelter Advisory Board was called to order by
Director of Public Works and Engineering Major Jones at 11:38 A.M. at the City of Euless
Public Works Building, 1513 Westpark Way, Euless, Texas 76040
The following members were in attendance:

Doctor Susan Read
City Council Member Eddie Price
Hurst Animal Services Supervisor Chris Chenevert
Staff Members Present:

AS Foreman Jodan Shelton

ITEM 2 — REVIEW & APPROVE MEETING MINUTES FROM SEPTEMBER 7, 2022
Director Jones asked if there were any comments or questions regarding the minutes of
September 13, 2023. With no questions or comments, the minutes were accepted as
written.
ITEM 3 — UPDATE ON GAP
AS Foreman Shelton reported that GAP and Shelter Cats participated in "Parade of
Lights". GAP held a fundraiser at the Lazy Dog restaurant on 3/23, held their Walk-A-
Thon on 4/20, and held an adoption event on 4/23 at PetSmart.
ITEM 4 — QUARTERLY REPORT
AS Foreman Shelton stated that the numbers on the quarterly report have increased due
to more staff, enabling Animal Services to increase the number of patrols. Council
Member Price asked if Access Euless requests were received and if so, what those call
types are. AS Forman Shelton indicate that they receive a variety of requests through
Access Euless that include Loose dogs, barking dogs, chickens, etc.

ITEM 5 — SHELTER / FACILITY UPDATE
AS Foreman Shelton reported that Animal Services held a "Table Talk" event at the Senior
Center in which they were able to explain the services provided by Animal Services. They
will also be conducting two animal bite prevention presentations at Wilshire Elementary
School and Lakewood Elementary School. Donations were received at the Shelter from
Treetops School and Heritage Elementary School. Shelter Attendance Carrie Mutchie
has obtained her euthanasia certificate. New Animal Service employee, Ryan Kate
Brandenburg already has her Basic Animal Control & euthanasia certificate and new
Animal Services Officer, Robert Preciado started on 3/5.
ITEM 6 — QUESTIONS / COMMENTS
Director Jones asked if there were any questions or comments. Debbie Latour notified
the Board that the next meeting was tentatively schedule for June19th. There were no
further questions or comments indicated.
ITEM 7 — ADJOURN
The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 P.M.
