AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING
SERVICES WITH CONLAN ENGINEERING CO., INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$68,840 FOR THE DESIGN OF UTILITY RELOCATIONS ON F.M. 157
BETWEEN S.H. 183 AND S.H. 121 AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF CONTRACT MODIFICATIONS NOT TO EXCEED A TOTAL OF $3,500
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the City of Euless
desire to design and construct paving and drainage improvements to F.M. 157; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless is responsible for accomplishing utility relocations
hereinafter identified as the "Project ", prior to the construction of said improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Euless has negotiated a contract for engineering services with
Conlan Engineering Co., Inc. in the lump sum amount of $68,840 for the design of the Project;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Euless City Council hereby accepts
the terms of the contract negotiated with Conlan Engineering Co., Inc. and authorizes the City
Engineer for the City of Euless to execute the contract in the amount of $68,840 in the name of
the City of Euless, copy attached hereto and labelled as Exhibit "A ", and to execute contract
modifications in an amount not to exceed a total of $3,500.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless,
Texas, on the 26th day of March , 1996, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays
and 0 abstentions.
