Euless City Council
March 27, 1958
Mayor Millican called his Council in a
special session for March 27, 1958, at 7:00 p.m.
With Mayor Ernest Millican, Jr., presiding,
a l l Councilmen were present, Messrs. J. S. Anderson, S. H. Cadenhead, Paul
Horton, and W. 0. Murray.
Members of the fire department attending
the meeting were Messrs. A. B . G i l l , Albert Tillery, Bobby Fuller and
Harold Richards.
Also present was Attorney Bondurant who
advised the Council on the best procedure in securing a loan to purchase a
f i re truck.
Councilman Horton offered a motion,
seconded by Councilman Cadenhead, that the City Council proceed with its
original plan of securing personal signatures on the note borrowing money
for the purchase of a fire truck. The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.

Ch a second motion
by
Councilman Anderson,
seconded by Councilman Murray, the
Council unanimously
approved and accepted
the contract of Bob Cooke for the
purchase of a 1958 Ford
truck chassis
at a price of $6,075.49, the truck
to be delivered to
Kenosha, Wis. within
4 t o 5 weeks. The agreement is based
upon payment in
full
upon delivery
of the truck at Kenosha Wise. A copy
of the agreement
as
presented by Bob
Cooke, and accepted by the Council
is attached as part
of
these minutes of the
City Council.
