A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY TO BE
SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING ITS DISPOSITION
WHEREAS, the City of Euless, Texas, has constructed a new library building,
and has completely furnished and equipped said new library building with new
furnishings; and
WHEREAS, the old Euless library building is in the process of renovation; and
WHEREAS, all furniture and equipment from the old library building, not used in
the new library or in other city facilities and having any market value has been sold
in the manner provided by law; and
WHEREAS, there remain certain items of furniture, including tables, chairs and
study carrels which have little or no value, but which certain school districts, other
governmental entities and non - profit organizations have expressed an interest in
acquiring; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, desires by this
resolution to declare such remaining items of personal property to be surplus, and to
authorize their disposition to other governmental or non - profit entities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS:
That the City Council hereby declares the remaining items of personal property,
consisting of furniture and equipment, remaining from the Euless library facility, to
be surplus, and hereby authorizes the City Manager or his designee to dispose of such
surplus to other governmental entities, including school districts, and to other
non - profit organizations, at the discretion of the City Manager.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, and
effective, on this 13th day of August , 1996.
