HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012-03-29 HSB MinutesCITY OF EULESS HOUSING AND STRUCTURE BOARD MARCH 29, 2012 MINUTES A presession meeting of the Euless Housing and Structure Board was called to order by Chairman Ruby Anne Crites at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012, in the Precouncil Conference Room at City Hall, 201 North Ector Drive. Those present included Chairman Ruby Anne Crites, Vice Chairman Steve Ellis, Board Members Robert Woolridge, and Clarence Moore, and Alternate Board Members Ronald Dunckle, and Clarence Moore. During the Pre -Session Meeting: ➢ Director of Planning and Economic Development Mike Collins reviewed the regular agenda. REGULAR AGENDA HOUSING AND STRUCTURE BOARD CONSIDERATION OF SCHEDULED ITEMS — COUNCIL CHAIMBERS The Euless Housing and Structure Board continued theirmeeting in the Council Chambers at 5:30 p.m. for consideration of scheduled items. STAFF PRESENT: Mike Collins, Director of Planning and Economic Development Stephen Cook, Senior Planner Alicia Davenport, Administrative Secretary VISITORS PRESENT: None INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Vice Chairman Ellis gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance ITEM 1. ELECTION OF OFFICERS Upon motion and second to nominate Ruby Anne Crites to remain as Chairman and Steve Ellis to remain as Vice Chair, Chairman Crites declared the motion carried. ITEM 2. CASE #12-01-HSB - HELD PUBLIC HEARING AND APPROVED AN ORDER Chairman Crites opened the public' hearing. Page 1 of 3 Housing and Structure Board Page 2 of 3 March 29, 2012 Director of Planning and Economic Development Mike Collins gave a brief description of the case and advised that the City is requesting an Order be filed on the property at 311 South Industrial Boulevard, Crossroads Addition, Block A, Euless Texas, Shadow Creek Apartments, Building 42/43, that may include securing, vacating of occupants, removal, repairing, or demolition of structure(s). Chairman Crites asked to hear from any proponents/opponents who wish to speak. Seeing none, Chairman Crites closed the public hearing. Upon motion and second to approve Case No. 12-01-HSB for an Order on the property at 311 South Industrial Boulevard, Crossroads Addition, Bock A, Euless, Texas, Shadow Creek Apartments, Buildings 42/43, that may include securing, vacating of occupants, removal, repairing, or demolition of structure(s), Chairman Crites declared the motion carried, ITEM 3. CASE #12-02-HSB - HELD PUBLIC HEARING AND APPROVED AN ORDER Chairman Crites opened the public hearing Director of Planning and Economic Development Mike Collins gave a brief description of the case and advised that the City is requesting an Order, be filed on the property at 311 South Industrial Boulevard, Crossroads Addition, Block A, Euless Texas, Shadow Creek Apartments, Building 16/17, 38/39, 48/49, and 56/57, that may include securing, vacating of occupants, removal, repairing, or demolition of structure(s). Chairman Crites asked to hear from any proponents/opponents who wish to speak. Seeing none, Chairman Crites closed the public hearing. Upon motion and second to approve Case No. 12-02-HSB for an Order on the property at 311 South !ndustrial Boulevard, Crossroads Addition, Block A, Euless, Texas, Shadow Creek Apartments, Buildings 16/17, 38/39, 48/49, and 56/57, that may include securing, vacating of occupants, removal, repairing, or demolition of structure(s), Chairman Crites declared the motion carried. ITEM 4. CASE #12-03-HSB - HELD PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDERED AN ORDER Chairman Crites opened the public hearing. Chairman Crites asked to hear from any proponents/opponents who wish to speak. Seeing none, Chairman Crites closed the public hearing. Upon motion and second to approve Case No. 12-01-HSB for an Order on the property at 311 South Industrial Boulevard, Crossroads Addition, Block A, Euless, Texas, Shadow Creek Apartments, Buildings 10/11, 12/13, 14/15, 16/17, 18/19, 20/21, 22/23, 2.4/25, 26/27, 28/29, 30/31, 32/33, 34/35, 36/37, 38/39, 40/41, 44/45, 46/47, 50/51, 52/53, 54/55, and 56/57, that may include securing, vacating of occupants, removal, repairing or demolition of structure(s), Chairman Crites declared the motion carried.
