A RESOLUTION RENAMING "AIRPORT DRIVE" IN
AIRPORT BUSINESS PARK ADDITION TO 'TEXAS STAR
PARKWAY"
Whereas, the City of Euless is constructing a major municipal golf course and athletic
complex in the area and it is desirous to have the street that serves the golf course be
known by a name similar to the golf course's name; and,
Whereas, the Euless Street Naming Committee has considered the proposed street name
change and recommends it be approved; and,
Whereas, public notice of a public meeting where the proposed street name change will
be discussed has been published in the newspaper and similar notice mailed to all
owners of real property along Airport Drive; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION I
The street known as Airport Drive in Airport Business Park Addition, as filed in Vol. 388-
102, Page 17 and Vol. 388 -187, Page 56, Tarrant County Plat Records, shall hereafter
be known and identified as "Texas Star Parkway"
SECTION II
The City Secretary is hereby directed, promptly after passage hereof, to furnish a copy
of this resolution to the U.S. Postal Service, emergency service providers, Tarrant County
and the Hurst - Euless- Bedford Independent School District.
SECTION III
The City Secretary shall have this resolution recorded among the plat records of Tarrant
County, Texas.
SECTION IV
The City Manager shall cause all property owners, and others that are typically notified
of such matter to be notified and have all necessary city maps and street signs changed.
SECTION V
This order shall become effective May 1, 1997.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 12th day of November, 1996, at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays and
0 abstentions.
