A RESOLUTION REVISING THE CITY OF EULESS STRATEGIC PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Euless desires to plan for the future in order to better address the needs of the
1990s; and
WHEREAS, in the early months of the year 1990, the Euless City Council appointed a Strategic
Planning Committee of over 150 individuals, consisting of city employees and citizens of
Euless; and
WHEREAS, these action plans were approved in October of 1990, and need revision from time to time
to assure a fluid and current Strategic Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, does hereby
accept and adopt a Vision Statement and a revised Mission Statement to be included in the Strategic Plan.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 13th day of March, 1997, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and
0 abstentions.

Vision Statement
Our vision of Euless, Texas, is a progressive
community of 50,000 to 60,000 people with
economic diversity that is recognized for its
upscale shopping, cultural, educational and
recreational amenities, a revitalized Main
Street, and community planning that focuses on
the quality of life with a strong emphasis on
public safety and a stable base of dedicated
employees. We envision becoming a National
Amateur Sports Centre. We foresee new job
opportunities in health care, industrial and
technological commerce and hotel, motel and
retail trades. The City's proactive
leadership will maintain a sound fiscal
policy, a balance between single and multi-
family housing and a compatible business
relationship with the D /FW Airport and our
surrounding communities.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the City of Euless is: To
provide our citizens the most efficient
services possible that protect and enhance the
quality of life, through planning and
visionary leadership.
