A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF THE WINE
SALES STUDY COMMITTEE'S REPORT ON THE IMPACT
OF ALLOWING OFF - PREMISE WINE SALES AND ON-
PREMISE BEER AND WINE ONLY SALES IN THE CITY OF
EULESS
WHEREAS, on June 24, 1997, the Euless City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, ratified
appointments to the Wine Sales Study Committee for the purpose of determining the
economic impact of allowing off - premise wine sales and on- premise beer and wine only
sales in the City of Euless;
WHEREAS, on September 23, 1997, the Wine Sales Study Committee issued their report
recommending off - premise wine sales and on- premise beer and wine only sales in the City
of Euless;
WHEREAS, the Wine Sales Study Committee now recommends the citizens of Euless
move forward with the necessary petition drive for a local option election to amend the
current City of Euless alcoholic beverage ordinance to allow off - premise wine sales and on-
premise beer and wine only sales in the City of Euless;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS, THAT THE COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGES RECEIPT OF THE WINE
SALES STUDY COMMITTEE REPORT; AND EXTENDS THEIR APPRECIATION TO THE
COMMITTEE FOR THE DEDICATION OF TIME AND EFFORT IN PRODUCING THIS
REPORT.
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on the 8th day of September,
1998, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
