December 9, 2024
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 10:57am by Chairperson Suzy McCormick at Texas Star Golf
Course, Euless. She also welcomed our members and guests.

Randy Byers, Elaine Green, Patsy Hoover, Keith Jernigan, Suzy McCormick, Anniece McKanna, Jud
Park, James Park, Gary Parker, Linda Pool, Joe Robinson, Norma Runyon, Faye Stinneford, and
Mavy Wright.
STAFF PRESENT
Parks and Community Services Director - Duane Strawn; Assistant Director of Parks and
Community Services - Elizabeth Johnson; and Parks & Community Services Administrative
Secretary -Jodie Dunn.
VISITORS PRESENT
Mayor Linda Martin; Councilpersons Jeremy Tompkins, Tika Paudel, and Tim Stinneford; City
Manager Loretta Getchell and Deputy City Manager Chris Barker.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Gary Parker advised of a correction to the November minutes in reference to the donated camera.
It should be referred to as a View camera, not a Sight camera. Faye Stinneford made a motion to
accept the November minutes, seconded by Linda Pool. With unanimous approval, the motion
carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT
The beginning balance effective today is $7,494.06. There was a donation deposit of $39.00.
There was a $209.73 expense ($200 donation to Ash Lane Methodist Church for Billy Byers; and
$9.73 for frames). The ending balance effective December 9 is $7,323.33. Mrs. Wright advised
the members of donations being accepted for the memorial plaque for Billy Byers.
STATUS OF CURRENT PROJECTS
1. Docents and Volunteer Report/Recruitment— Linda Pool reminded the members of the
upcoming Open House/Heritage Park Christmas. The signup sheet would be Emailed today to
the members.
2. Acquisition —Gary Parker had no report.
3. Facebook—Linda Pool stated she has been sharing posts to various groups on Facebook and
reminded the members to share as well. She noted there was increasing followers to the
groups.

4. Plaque — up to date.
5. Display Signs — Mavy Wright stated the flag and badges for Blackie Sustaire have been placed
on display.
6. Publicity/Programs/Speakers—no report.
7. Heritage Park —no report.
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT— Ms. McCormick reminded the members of the upcoming the upcoming
Heritage Park Christmas. All who can help would be appreciated.
STAFF REPORT
Duane Strawn thanked Jodie Dunn, the PACS staff and Texas Star staff for assisting with the
holiday events.
COMMITTEE REPORT / INPUT
Mayor Martin advised attendees of The Salvation Army Mayoral Challenge to be held on Saturday,
December 14 at the Kroger on North Main.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Norma Runyon and seconded by Elaine Green to adjourn the meeting.
Ms. McCormick declared the meeting adjourned at 11:07am.
