By Jamie Landers Breaking News Reporter Mar. 5, 2025 Multiple Euless schools were evacuated Wednesday morning following a bomb threat, according to police and school district officials. Impacted campuses included Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District’s Alternative Education Program, KEYS High School and Central Junior High, a ccording to the district’s website. Police said the threat was directed at KEYS and DAEP, but Central Junior High, located next door, was also evacuated “out of an abundance of caution.” Roughly 1,200 students and staff members were out of the buildings within minutes of officers first responding about 10:25 a.m., police said. Buses then took them to a reunification center in Bedford for pick up. Authorities from several departments, including K-9, bomb squad and SWAT officers, assisted in clearing the buildings, and no explosives were found, according to police. The truck became wedged under the bridge, with significant damage to the truck and the bridge. 18-wheeler crash What we know: The crash happened on the loop around to Southbound 360 to Eastbound 183. Fort Worth Fire Department says there is only one person involved, but their condition is not known. Westbound 183 to southbound 360 is also closed due to the crash. What we don't know: The integrity of the bridge is unknown. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
