Called Meeting
Euless City Council
June 4, 1958
The City Council met in a called meeting
on June 4, 1958, at 7:30 p.m. Present were Mayor Ernest Millican, Jr.,
Councilmen S . H. Cadenhead, B i l l Murray, Bobby Fuller, Albert Tillery, and
Paul Horton.
1.
Councilman Fuller made a motion, seconded
by Councilman Murray, that a contract be made with J. D. Emmons to construct
ten dog pens. The vote in favor was unanimous.
2.
A motion was made by Councilman Tillery,
seconded by Councilman Fuller, to employ Joe Harvey as Dog Warden at a salary
of $150.00 for forty -five days, subject to reconsideration at the end of
that period by the City Council. The vote in favor was unanimous.
3.
A motion was made by Councilman Horton,
seconded by Councilman Ti 1 lery, that Steve Huffman be appointed to the Board
of Equalization to serve in place of Mr. A. B.' G 1 1 1 who could not continue to
serve on the board. The vote in favor was unanimous.
4.
A motion was made by Councilman Murray,
seconded by Councilman Fuller, that Paul Horton purchase a trailor for $50.00
for use by the Dog Warden. The vote in favor was unanimous.
5•
A motion was made by Councilman Cadenhead,
seconded by Councilman Murray, that the salary of the Chief of Police be
raised by $33.00 per month and the patrolman be raised by $25.00 per month,
effective as of June 1, 1958. The vote in favor was unanimous.
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
