Euless City Council
July 22, 1958
The City Council of Euless, Texas, met in
regular session on July 22, 1958, at 7:30 p.m. Present were Mayor Ernest

Euless. Mr. Root suggested that the Texas Power and Light Company engineers
make a survey and submit to the City Council a proposal for lighting Highway

where the street lights should be placed to be most effective, and the City
Council could then carry out this plan as far as they could afford, later
adding more as they were able to.
The City Council after discussion decided to
install the following lights immediately:
1. Dobkins Drive & Highway 183 (Old Minters Chapel Road).
2. Puckett Road - west of Puckett Gulf Station & Highway 183,
on west side of the street.
