Parks and Leisure Services Board
March, 03, 2025
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Parks and Leisure Services Board was called to order at 6:00 PM. On
Monday, March, 03, 2025 in the Pre Council Chambers of the Euless City Hall building by Chairman
Jones. Other Board Members present: John Raab, Magen Brown, Steve Doty, Roger Sickler,
Michael Dayton and Gabriel Rosas. Members absent: Laird Leavoy.
Staff members present: Director of Parks and Community Services Duane Strawn, Assistant Parks
and Community Service Director Elizabeth Johnson, Parks Manager Randy Leach, Aquatics/Senior
Superintendent Richard Sharnsky, Recreation Superintendent Alex Harvey and Administrative
Secretary Jodie Dunn.
Visitors present: Anita Beard and Kourtney Gomez with Dunaway Associates

Roger Sickler gave the invocation.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Chairman Jones asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes from the February
03, 2025 regular meeting. John Raab made the motion to approve the minutes as presented and
was seconded by Steve Doty. The vote was unanimous.
I. Report by Dunaway Associates LLC
Anita Beard, of Dunaway Associates, presented the 2025 Preliminary Parks, Recreation,
and Open Space Master Plan and included information about our park inventory, how data
was collected, the process behind the Citizen Survey, the development of a "Prioritized
Needs List" for both indoor and outdoor recreation, and how the "Action Plan" was
developed. The motion to approve and forward the plan to the City Council was made by
Randy Jones and seconded by John Raab. The vote was unanimous to approve the 2025
Preliminary Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan and forward to the City
Council for their approval and adoption.
Chairman Jones thanked Dunaway Associates for their reports.

Chairman Jones gave the benediction. There being no further business to conduct, the meeting
was adjourned at 6:53 PM.
