March 10, 2025
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 10:01am by Chairperson Suzy McCormick at the Heritage
Museum, Euless.
MEMBERS PRESENT
Randy Byers, Elaine Green, Patsy Hoover, Mary Hunt, Suzy McCormick, Anniece McKanna, James
Park, Linda Pool, Joe Robinson, Norma Runyon, and Mavy Wright.
STAFF PRESENT
Parks and Community Services Director - Duane Strawn; Parks & Community Services Assistant
Director — Elizabeth Johnson
VISITORS PRESENT
None
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Due to lack of quorum, any actions will be postponed until the next meeting.
TREASURER'S REPORT
The beginning balance effective today is $8,227.33. There was a donation of $70. The ending
balance effective March 10 is $8,297.33
STATUS OF CURRENT PROJECTS
1. Docents and Volunteer Report/Recruitment— Due to the absence of Linda Pool, Anniece
circulated the docent signup sheets for April and May.
2. Acquisition —no report.
3. Facebook—Linda Pool was absent but sent word for the members to continue posting
announcements on their personal Facebook pages. She indicated we are still reaching more
people.
4. Plaque — up to date.
5. Display Signs— up to date.
6. Publicity/Programs/Speakers—no report.
7. Heritage Park —no report.

CHAIRMAN'S REPORT —
None
STAFF REPORT —
Mr. Strawn reminded members that the Fuller House will be ready for our group to reassemble
the decor today. He has City staff available to assist and has printed photographs to show the
items in their original placement.
COMMITTEE REPORT / INPUT
It was mentioned that there was a group of Boy Scouts who visited the museum on February 15.
The Scouts were very well-mannered, curious, and attentive. They expressed interest in assisting
as needed to the museum and will also be working on earning a Merit Badge.
Anniece McKanna announced she had received an informative document from Weldon Cannon
on the topic of Bird's Fort. The document included a narrative and maps; it was submitted to the
Committee for placement in the archives.
