Euless City Council
August 28, 1958
The Council met in a special Council meeting
on August 28, 1958. Present were Mayor Ernest Millican, Jr., Councilmen S. H.
Cadenhead, Bobby Fuller, Albert Tillery, and W. 0. Murray.
1.
This public hearing is for the purpose of
hearing any citizen or interested party in connection with the application of
Midway Park Developers, Joint Venturers, for a change in zoning designation
of the following property: Tract one: Being a tract of land out of the J. P.
Halford Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, and beginning at a point in the West
line of North Main Street (the Euless- Grapevine Road) in the present line of
the City Limits, said beginning point being 404.6 feet South 00 degrees 35
minutes West from the Southeast corner of the Midway Park Addition to the
City of Euless, Texas; Thence South 00 degrees 35 minutes West 300.0 feet;
Thence North 89 degrees 25 minutes West 309.0 feet; Thence North 00 degrees
35 minutes East 150.0 feet; Thence South 88 degrees 33 minutes East 159.0 feet;
Thence North 00 degrees 35 minutes East 150.0 feet; Thence South 88 degrees
33 minutes East 150.0 feet to the point of beginning.
Tract Two: Being a tract of land out of the J. P. Halford Survey, in Tarrant
County, Texas, and beginning at a point in the West Line of North Main Street
(The Euless- Grapevine Road) in the present line of the City Limits, said
beginning point being 764.6 feet South 00 degrees 35 minutes West from the
Southwest corner of the Midway Park Addition to the City of Euless, Texas;
Thence South 00 degrees 35 minutes West 125.0 feet; Thence North 89 degrees
25 minutes West 309.0 feet; Thence North 00 degrees 35 minutes East 129.67
feet; Thence South 88 degrees 33 minutes East 309.0 feet to the point of
beginning - now zoned "A" Single Fami I y Dwelling, to be zoned "B" Local
Business, such application having been heretofore approved by the City Planning
and Zoning Commission.
No citizen or interested person appeared
before the City Council in connection with this change in zoning.

The City Council discussed the 1958 budget -
no action was taken pending outcome of the public hearing on the budget on
September 2, 1958.
The City Council discussed street lighting
and lights around the entrance and exits at the Lawrence D. Bell football
field - no action was taken pending further study.

One street light was reported to be out at
the intersection of Broadway and Hollywood Streets. The City Secretary was in-
structed to have a new light bulb installed on this corner.

A motion was made by Councilman Fuller and

seconded by Councilman to adjourn. The vote in favor was unanimous and the
meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
