The EulessCity Council
Become CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified
July2025
I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Mayor Pro Tem, Tim Stinneford, and Council Member Eddie Price, Place 3, on their recent re-election to the Euless City Council.
City Council positions are entirely volunteer-based, and Council Members receive no financial compensation. These dedicated individuals generously dedicate their time and energy to serve the citizens of Euless and our entire community. Council Members play a vital role in shaping the future of our City by providing strategic direction, approving the annual City budget, and advancing key initiatives. This includes attending regular City Council meetings, as well as numerous work sessions and workshops throughout the year. Additionally, they proudly represent the City at a variety of community and City-sponsored events all year long.
Lastly, thank you to our Euless City Council for your unwavering dedication and service. Your time, leadership, and commitment continue to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of our residents.
When given immediately after cardiac arrest, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) can almost double a person’s chance of survival, so learn how to save a life this summer. The Euless Fire Department and the American Red Cross are offering Euless residents the opportunity receive CPR, First Aid, and AED (automated external defibrillator) certification. Knowing these best practices is crucial throughout the year, but it is especially beneficial during the summer when there is an increase in water-based emergencies.
Euless residents ages 18 or older can sign up for training. Classes will be held on a rolling basis, and will cost $40 for the certification. Register by scanning the QR code. For more information, email jknighton@eulesstx.gov or call 817-685-1609.

Water Conservation
An irrigation system is a great option to have as a Texas homeowner. If your home already has a system, or you choose to install one, you may enjoy the benefits that come with it. An irrigation system plays a vital role in keeping all your flowerbeds and lawns looking their best. Now that it is summer, it is a good time to inspect and make sure your system is performing at its best. All heads should spray uniformly and pressure should be the same at all heads, if designed correctly. If this is not the case, check for a leak or clogged nozzles. As the temperature rises, it becomes more important to conserve water.
Ways to save water:
• To reduce water evaporation and waste, citizens are prohibited by ordinance, from watering outdoors from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. year-round.• Check the watering schedule for your system and limit landscape watering to two days each week.• Plant native grasses and plants that are drought tolerant and require minimal water.• Apply a 3” to 4” layer of mulch to all trees and shrubs to help retain moisture and keep weeds away.• Make sure your rain/freeze sensor is operating correctly. This shuts down the controller operation if moisture is detected and if temperatures drop below 35°.• Adjust all heads so they spray the turf or beds and not the concrete. If water is running down the street, you may be over watering and might need to cut back your time.• Most established lawns only need 1” of water each week. • Use drip irrigation to reduce water loss due to evaporation. Drip irrigation applies water where it is needed and slowly enough that there is minimal run off.
For any issues with your irrigation system, please contact a state-licensed irrigator to perform your repairs and installations. For free watering tips, on-site sprinkler evaluations and water smart videos, visit:SaveTarrantWater.com or WaterIsAwesome.com.
