Euless City Council
October 7, 1958
A special meeting of the Euless City Council
was held on October 7, 1958. Present were Mayor Ernest Millican, Jr., Council-
men S. H. Cadenhead, Paul Horton, Bobby Fuller, W. 0. Murray, and Albert
Tillery.
A motion was made by Councilman Cadenhead,
and seconded by Councilman Horton, that the new fire truck be properly insured
before being driven back to Euless. This insurance to cover public liability,
fire and theft and $100.00 deductable. The vote in favor of this motion was
unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman T i l l e r y , and
seconded by Councilman Horton, that this insurance on the new fire truck be
taken out with the Fuller- Payton Insurance Agency. Four Councilmen voted in
favor of this motion, and one Councilman, Bobby Fuller, not voting.

A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Murray, that Mr. A. B. G i I I and Councilman A. E. Tillery
go to the Peter Pirsch & Sons Company factory at Kenosha, Wisconsin to drive the
new fire truck back to Euless. Four Councilmen voted in favor of this motion,
and Councilman Tillery not voting.

A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Murray, that the Midway Park Developers be asked to provide
a north -south boulevard sixty (60) feet wide, with forty (40) feet of paving,
going north on Ector Drive to Midway Drive, thence east to Aransas, thence north
to Harwood Road. The vote in favor of this motion was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Fuller and
seconded by Councilman Tillery, to permit the police department to order uniforms,
these to be paid for by the City of Euless, and the amount for each man exceeding
his uniform allowance to be deducted from his salary check. The vote in favor
was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Cadenhead,
and seconded by Councilman Horton, to postpone any action on the request of
the Highway Department for approval of the proposed changes to be made in
Highway 183, until after the meeting of October 23, 1958• At this meeting
interested citizens of Euless w i I I hear the City Attorney of Dallas and others
discuss these proposed changes. The vote in favor of this motion was unanimous.
