HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-11-0763 Called Meeting Euless City Council November 7, 1958 The Euless City Council met in a special called meeting on November 7, 1958. Present were Mayor Ernest Millican, Jr., Councilmen Paul Horton, Bobby Fuller, W, 0. Murray, and Albert Tillery. 1. 2. Appearing before the City Council, Mr. Don Young explained that he made a mistake in ordering the fire hose, and did not order the wax and gum dipped hose. He offered to reduce the price by seven cents per foot due to the fact that we did not get the hose that we wanted. A motion was made by Councilman Horton, and seconded by Councilman Murray, that inasmuch as it would take four or five weeks to get the other hose, that the City o f Euless go ahead and keep the f i r e hose we received. Three Councilmen voted in favor of this motion, and one, Councilman Tillery, voted against the motion. A motion was made 2. 4 A motion was made by Councilman Murray, and seconded by Councilman Fuller, to authorize the Hurst State Bank to go ahead and pay Peter Pirsch & Sons Company the sum of $11,203.00, this being the amount due them on the new f i r e truck. A l l Councilmen present voted in favor of t h i s mot ion. seconded by Councilman Fuller, to $899.07. A l l Councilmen present Attest : /s/ W. E. Flippo City Secretary 5. A motion was made by Councilman Murray, and pay the balance on the patrol car which is voted in favor of this motion. The meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m. Minutes Approved: /s/ Ernest Millican, Jr. Mayor A motion was made by Councilman Murray, and seconded by Councilman Fuller, that the City pay Mr. A. E. Tillery the sum of $10.00 for gasoline used in testing the fire truck. Three Councilmen voted in favor of this motion, with Councilman Tillery not voting. 3. A motion was made by Councilman Horton, and seconded by Councilman Fuller, that the City buy a second hand fi I i n g cabinet to be used f o r tax forms at a cost of $55.00. A l l Councilmen present voted in favor of this motion. 4 A motion was made by Councilman Murray, and seconded by Councilman Fuller, to authorize the Hurst State Bank to go ahead and pay Peter Pirsch & Sons Company the sum of $11,203.00, this being the amount due them on the new f i r e truck.
