A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR THEIR DESIGNEE,
TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH TEXAS STATE LIBRARY
AND ARCHIVES COMMISSION (TSLAC) FOR THE LIBRARY
INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITY IMPROVEMENT (LIFI) GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Euless has determined that it is in the
best interest of the citizens of the City to apply for and accept grant funds for creating
quiet, productive spaces for all by installing Shushbooths at the Mary Lib Saleh Euless
Public Library; and
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a grant from TSLAC, Grant No. LIFI 26015,
in an amount not to exceed $82,011; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to purchase and install Shushbooths; and
WHEREAS, the City Council agrees to accept the grant award and designates the
City Manager, or their designee, as the Authorized Official to administer and sign the
grant agreement and all related documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City of Euless hereby accepts the grant award from Texas State Library and
Archives Commission (TSLAC) in the amount of $82,011 for the LIFI Grant.
SECTION 2.
The City Manager, or their designee, is hereby authorized to execute the grant
agreement and all other necessary applications, assurances, certifications, and
documents related to the acceptance and administration of this grant.
SECTION 3.
The City Manager, or their designee, is designated as the Authorized Official for
all matters relating to this grant.
SECTION 4.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
October 14, 2025, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions,
