The EulessCity Council
November2025
Dear Citizens,
I encourage you
to read the article
about the FY 2025–2026 budget. After
careful review, the
City Council has
approved a fiscally
responsible plan that continues to
ensure the excellent
services our
residents count on
while addressing the rising costs that we are all facing. This balanced budget focuses on
carrying on our long-standing commitment
to invest in critical infrastructure while
also providing for exceptional public safety
services we all rely on.
To meet these needs, the city will raise
the tax rate by 2.9766¢. For the average
Euless homeowner, this means an increase
of about $30 per year, or $2.50 a month. This funding supports the city’s core
priorities: safeguarding our financial
stability, delivering excellent public
safety and health services, attracting and
retaining quality employees, investing in
critical infrastructure, encouraging quality
development, expanding recreational
opportunities, and strengthening our
community spirit. We believe this to be
a tremendous value for your tax dollar.
This budget reflects our commitment to
balancing financial responsibility with the long term needs of the community.
On a personal note, it is with sincere
gratitude that I extend my thanks for the
outpouring of love and support shown following the recent passing of my husband,
Don Martin. He was a tireless advocate for
civic engagement, volunteering over 10,000
hours across numerous organizations.
Thank you again for your kind words of encouragement and support.

Euless FY 2025–2026 Budget Highlights
The City of Euless is gearing up for another exciting year! The City Council approved a balanced budget for Fiscal Year 2025–2026 that keeps our community moving forward while continuing to deliver the high-quality services you count on every day.
From 24/7 police, fire, and EMS protection to beautiful parks, safe streets, and a thriving library, this budget ensures Euless remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Investing in the Community
Here are just a few of the ways your tax dollars will make a difference this year:
• Traffic Signal and Intersection Improvements – Upgrades at SH10 & Dickey Drive and FM157 & Signet Drive, making mobility safer and smoother.• Park Improvements – Upgrades at Kiddie Carr Park, South Euless Park, and the Parks at Texas Star, plus a feasibility study for expanding the Euless Family Life Center. These projects reflect resident input from the recently completed Parks Master Plan.• New and Expanded Animal Shelter Services – Additional staff to care for animals at the new Euless Animal Shelter, scheduled to open in 2026.• Aquatic Park & Natatorium Enhancements – Facility upgrades to expand family fun and fitness opportunities.• Drone as First Responder Program – This program assists the Police Department by enabling them to react quickly and safely, and provide critical support on high- priority calls.
And of course, the budget continues to fund street maintenance, water and wastewater line replacements, and city fleet updates, which are the backbone to keeping Euless running strong.
Your City. Your Services.
Your Dollars Spent Wisely.
The Trinity River Authority has increased its charges to the city, resulting in necessary rate adjustments:• Water base rate: +$1• Wastewater base rate: +$1• Volume rate increases: +47¢ (water) and +54¢ (wastewater) per 1,000 gallons
Good news: To soften the impact, the City Council approved a residential rebate. Residents will receive a 75¢ per 1,000-gallon credit (up to 15,000 gallons per month) from the city’s rate stabilization fund.
How Your Sales Tax Dollars Are Put to Work
Every time you shop in Euless, a portion of the 8.25% sales tax comes right back into your community. For every dollar spent, Euless receives 2¢:• ¼¢ – Reduces your property taxes• ¼¢ – Supports crime control & prevention• ½¢ – Funds economic development, parks, and the library• 1¢ – Provides general city services
When you spend in Euless, you’re investing back into Euless.

The entire FY 2025–2026 budget is available on the city’s website at www.eulesstx.gov, and in person at City Hall and the Euless Public Library.
General Fund Revenues:
Property taxes remain the city’s largest revenue source. The tax rate will rise slightly, from 44.67¢ to 47.64¢ per $100 of value. However, actual bills vary depending on property values set by the Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD), which declined slightly this year.
• For the average Euless home ($339,533 value with a 20% homestead exemption), the annual city tax bill will be about $1,294. That’s $107.85 per month, or $3.55 per day.
• For the average senior homeowner ($330,482 value with exemptions), the annual bill will be about $1,093—about $91.08 per month, or $2.99 per day.
And remember: If you’re 65 or older, the senior tax ceiling ensures your city tax bill will never rise above the amount you paid at age 65 (excluding improvements).

Euless residents are invited to safely dispose of hazardous household waste such as paint, chemicals, and oils at the annual Crud Day. The City of Fort Worth’s Crud Cruiser mobile collection trailer can accept materials from approximately 125 households, so space is limited. You may also bring any small electrical appliances you would like to recycle like computers, DVD and CD players, clocks, and hair dryers.
Once the mobile collection unit reaches capacity, residents may deliver materials to the Environmental Collection Center (ECC), which is located at 6400 Bridge Street in Fort Worth. For ECC directions and hours of operation, please call 817-392-1234.
The City of Euless is charged for each household at Crud Day and at the ECC, so residents are encouragedto make the most of their trips.
Residents can also dispose of sensitive papers at the annual Shred Day. Bring discarded papers and important documents to Euless’ drive-through disposal for shredding and recycling. Papers may contain thin metals such as staples or paperclips, or even rubber bands. Please do not bring CDs, jump drives, three-ring binders, or plastic bags. Each vehicle may bring up to five boxes of paper in standard-size boxes (15” x 12” x 10”) or paper grocery bags.
Proof of Euless residency is required to participate in Crud Day, Shred Day, and to dispose of waste at the ECC. For a complete list of accepted hazardous and electronic waste, please visit www.eulesstx.gov/hazmat or call 817-685-1400.
