A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE
2025 TARRANT COUNTY HAZARD MITIGATION ACTION PLAN.
WHEREAS the City of Euless recognizes the threat that natural hazards pose to
people and property within our community; and
WHEREAS, undertaking hazard mitigation actions before disasters occur reduces
the potential for harm to people and property and saves taxpayer dollars; and
WHEREAS an adopted hazard mitigation plan is required as a condition of future
funding for mitigation projects under multiple Federal Emergency Management Agency
(FEMA) pre- and post -disaster mitigation grant programs; and
WHEREAS the City of Euless has fully participated in the update process of the
2025 Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan in coordination with Tarrant County
and other participating jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS the 2025 Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan identifies
natural hazards and mitigation strategies specific to the City of Euless and being adopted
by the Tarrant County Commissioners' Court for submission to the Texas Division of
Emergency Management and FEMA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF EULESS,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City of Euless hereby adopts the 2025 Tarrant County Hazard Mitigation
Action Plan as the official hazard mitigation plan for the City of Euless.
SECTION 2.
The Emergency Manager and all appropriate departments are encouraged to
pursue implementation of the recommended mitigation actions, as feasible and
appropriate.
SECTION 3.
The City of Euless will continue to actively participate in future updates and
implementation efforts of the countywide hazard mitigation plan.

SECTION 5.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on
January 27, 2026, by a vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
