December 8, 2025
CAtt TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 10:52am by Suzy McCormick at the Texas Star Conference
Centre. She warmly welcomed the members in attendance.
MEMBERS PRESENT
Randy Byers, Elaine Green, Patsy Hoover, Mary Hunt, Suzy McCormick, Anniece McKanna, Amy
Mclntyre, Negin Pahlavan, James Park, Jud Park, Gary Parkel Linda Pool, Joe Robinson, Norma
Runyon, Brandon Van Wyk, and Mavy Wright.
STAFF PRESENT
Parks and Community Services Director - Duane Strawn; Assistant Director Parks and Community
Services - Elizabeth Maddox; PACS Administrative Assistant - Jodie Dunn.
VISITORS PRESENT
None; City dignitaries who joined for lunch following the meeting were: Chris Barker, Steven
Viera, Lawrence Bryant, Tika Paudel, and Tim Stinneford,
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Linda Pool to approve the November minutes with the correction to
remove Elizabeth Maddox from the minutes since she was not in attendance, seconded by Norma
Runyon. There was unanimous approval, and the motions carried.
TREASURER,S REPORT
The beginning balance effective today is $8,500.93. An expense of $268.80 was made for the
plaque. There was a donation of 5152, resulting in an ending balance of 58,384.13 as of
December 8, 2025.
STATUS OF CURRENT PROJECTS
1. Docents and Volunteer Report/Recruitment-signu p sheets were circulated for upcoming
Open Houses. Linda Pool reminded members of the December Open House which will be a
special event for the Heritage in the Park Christmas. Due to the expected large crowds, all
docents are encouraged to volunteer for a shift or for the entire event. The event time will be
11am until 3pm and is always a festive time for citizens and families. A parking placard was
available to the members.
2. Facebook- Ms. Pool acknowledged and thanked Brandon Van Wyk for his assistance with the
new Facebook page; she encouraged everyone to share the page with their friends and family
- currently there are 97 new members.
3. Plaque - Mavy Wright indicated the plaque for Billy Byers and Helen Payton was placed.

4. Display Signs - up to date.
6. Heritage Park-no report.
CHAIRMAN,S REPORT-
For several months, there has been discussion as to reaching a quorum in order to finalize the
Committee business in a more efficient manner. Ms. McCormick offered an explanation and
recommendation to restructure the Committee: to set up a voting board and to consider having
fewer monthly meetings. Many members made suggestions and comments; Ms. McCormick
acknowledged the ideas and stated the topic will be on the January agenda. The final decision
will ultimately be made by the Euless City Council.
STAFF REPORT-
Mr. Strawn also commented the restructure ideas would be discussed at the January meeting. He
enthusiastica lly encouraged everyone to attend the Heritage Park Christmas on December 13.
COMMITTEE REPORT / INPUT -
Several members expressed their opinions and offered alternatives to the restructuring
ADJOURNMENT
Mavy Wright made a motion to adjourn the meeting; seconded by Joe Robinson. The meeting
adjourned at 11:15am.
