AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 "FEES ",
SECTION 30 -38 "MISCELLANEOUS FEES ", OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CODE; PROVIDING A
SAVING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, the provisions of HB 391 allow an increase in the
charge for police accident reports and for certified copies of
same; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of HB 3017 allow for an increase in
the charge for taking fingerprints;
WHEREAS, the provisions of HB 1341, 74th Legislature,
require a surcharge for all birth certificates issued on and
after September 1, 1995; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION I
Chapter 30, "Fees ", Section 30 -38 "Miscellaneous Fees ", of
the Code of Ordinances, City of Euless, Texas, be hereby amended
as follows:
Sec. 30 -38. Miscellaneous Fees.
Copies of police department reports . . . $4.00
Certified copies of police department
reports . . . . . . . . . . . . . $6.00
Fingerprints taken for individuals . . . $10.00
Certified birth certificates:
First Copy . . . . . . . . . . . . . $11.00
Each additional copy . .. . . . . . . $5.00
Certified death certificates:
First Copy . . . . . . . . . . . . . $9.00
Each additional copy . . . . . . . $3.00
SECTION II
Severabilit Clause. It is hereby declared to be the
inten ion o e City Council that the sections, paragraphs,
sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable,
and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this
ordinance shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional by the
valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect any of
the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and
sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been
enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this
ordinance of any such invalid or unconstitutional phrase, clause,
sentence, paragraph or section.
SECTION III
Saving Clause. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances, City
of Euless, Texas, as amended, shall remain in full force and
effect, save and except as amended by this ordinance.
SECTION IV
Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and a er its passage and publication as provided by
the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
PRESENTED AND GIVEN FIRST AND FINAL READING at a regular meeting
of the Euless City Council on the 12th day of September
1995, by a vote of 6 ayes, p nays and p abstentions.
