AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE TRANSPORTATION HANDL-
iNG, AND STORAGE OF GASOLINE AND OTHER VOLATILES
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF EULESS TEXAS PROHIBIT-
ING THE TRANSPORTATION OF GASOLINE OR OTHER VOLA-
TILES WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF EULESS IN TRUCKS
HAVING A CAPACITY OF OVER 6,000 GALLONS SPECIFIY
ING THE EQUIPMENT TO BE USED BY TRUCKS HAULING GAS-
OLINE AND OTHER VOLATILES; ESTABLISHING SPECIFICA-
TIONS FOR STORAGE TANKS AT FILLING STATIONS TO BE
UNDERGROUND AND MELTING CERTAIN SPECIFICATIONS; LIMIT-
ING SINGLE STORAGE TANKS AT FILLING STATIONS TO
6,000 GALLONS AND TOTAL STORAGE CAPACITY OF ALL TANKS
AT ONE STATION TO BED 12 .000 GALLONS; CONTAINING
MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS; FIXING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION OF THE ORDINANCE AND CONTAINING A SAVING
CLAUSE.
BE IT OPDATI?I'> BX THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULES,S, TEXAS:
Section 1.
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person or pe»soni , firm
or corporation to transport, keep, sto-^e or handle gasoline or
other volati.lFJs in this City, except upon compliance vjith the
following provisions :
FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS
Application to new and existing installations, etc, The pro-
visions of this part apply to all new plants , stores, eqi-ilptment,
and ininstallations; and, except as otherwise specified to exist-
ing plants, stores , equ3.pment, and installations which consti-
tute a distinct hazard to adjoining properties , inso far as the
intent of sections can be reasom bly fulfiller?.
Classification of flammable liquids, for the purpose of tris
ordinance, flammable liquids are divided into three classes ,
accordingly to the flash point.
