December 9, 1958 The City Council met in regular session on December 9, 1958, at 7:30 p.m. Present were Mayor Pro -tem Albert Tillery, Councilman Paul Horton, Bobby F u l l e r and W. 0. Murray. A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and seconded by Councilman Horton, to pay Wade Grocery $22.33 for groceries bought by Jack H. Ashworth and $13.40 for paint to be used in painting the city hall inside and outside. All Councilmen present voted in favor of this motion. 2. A motion was made by Councilman Horton to pay two bills, this motion was seconded by Councilman Fuller. The two bills are Dalworth Manufacturing Company for transferring the police radio to the new police patrol car in the amount of $53.18, and pay the Parker Printing and Publishing Company $69.80 for printing police forms in connection with the operation of the new j a i I . A I I Councilmen present voted in favor of this motion. 3. 4. A motion was made by Councilman Murray, and seconded by Councilman Fuller, to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 104. This ordinance is to reduce the speed on Highway 183 during the construction period to 40 miles per hour instead of 50 and 55 miles per hour within the city limits of Euless. This ordinance has been requested by the State Highway Department to prevent driving too fast for conditions during the construction period and completion and acceptance of the Highway w i l l cancel the provisions of this ordinance. All Councilmen present voted in favor of this motion. W A motion was made by Councilman Horton, and seconded by Councilman Murray, to authorize Chief of Police W, M. Sustaire to pay up to $350.00 per month to get a good experienced man to be a regular A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and seconded by Councilman Murray, to ask for courtesy cards for city motor vehicles from the following oil companies: Texaco Oil Company, Gulf Oil Company, Humble O i l Refining Company, S i n c l a i r O i l Company, P h i l l i p s 55 Oil Company, Aml i co 0 i I Company. This is done in an effort to save as much as possible on the taxes we are having to pay on gasoline and o i I . A l l Councilmen present voted in favor of this motion. 4. A motion was made by Councilman Murray, and seconded by Councilman Fuller, to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 104. This ordinance is to reduce the speed on Highway 183 during the construction period to 40 miles per hour instead of 50 and 55 miles per hour within the city limits of Euless.
