AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 82 'TRAFFIC AND MOTOR VEHICLES,"
ARTICLE Ill "OPERATION OF VEHICLE, "SECTION 82 -62 "SPEED LIMITS - -ON CERTAIN
STREETS AND PORTIONS OF STREETS," TO ESTABLISH A SPEED LIMIT FOR
FULLER -WISER ROAD; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SAVING CLAUSE, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Euless desires to establish the speed limit for Fuller -Wiser Road at 35 MPH
from Airport Frwy. north to State Highway 360;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS: that
Chapter 82 "Traffic and Motor Vehicles," Article III "Operation of Vehicle," Section 82 -62 "Speed Limits -On
Certain Streets and Portions of Streets," be hereby amended to add the speed limit of 35 MPH for Fuller -Wiser
Road from Airport Frwy., E. W/B Frtg. Rd. north to State Highway 360 S/B Frtg. Rd.
Section I.
Upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation made as authorized by the provisions of
Vernon's Ann. Civ. St. Art. 6701d, §167 and §169 regulating traffic on highways, the following prima facie
speed limit indicated in this section for vehicles is hereby determined and declared to be reasonable and safe,
such a speed limit is hereby fixed at the rate of speed of 35 MPH for vehicles traveling upon Fuller -Wiser Road
from Airport Frwy., E. W/B Frtg. Rd. north to State Highway 360 S/B Frtg. Rd., Block Number 200 - 2800N.
Section II.
Penalty for Violation. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the terms and provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in accordance
with Chapter 1, Section 1 -12, Euless Code of Ordinances. Each such violation shall be deemed a separate
offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
Section 111.
Severabil'dy Clause. That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the section,
paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause
sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional by the valid
judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect
any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance, since the same
would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such invalid
or unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or sentence.
Section IV.
Saving Clause. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
publication as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
Section V.
Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
publication by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.

City Council on the 28 day of January 1997, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays,
