AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE STORING, PLACING, PUTTING,
OR DUMPING ANY LUMBER, OR WOOD,OR METAL,OR ROCK,OR CON-
CRETE, OR SAND OR GRAVEL OR ANY OTHER MATERIAL WHATEVER
OR ANY STRUCTURE WHATEVER IN, OR UPON ANY STREET, OR
SIDEWALK, OR ALLEY IN THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS; PRO-
VIDING FOR EXCEPTIONS THERETO; PROVIDING THAT ANY PER-
SON, FIRM OR CORPORATION VIOLATING ANY OF THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR
AND UPON CONVICTION THEREOF SHALL BE FINED A SUM NOT LESS
THAN $10.00 AND NOT MORE THAN $100.00 AND THAT EACH DAY'S
VIOLATION SHALL CONSTITUTE A SEPARATE OFFENSE; AND FURTHER
PROVIDING THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE FROM AND
AFTER THE DATE OF ITS PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION AS REQUIRED
BY LAW:
WHEREAS, certain persons, firms and corporations have been storing, placing,
putting and dumping lumber, wood, rock, metal, sand, gravel and other materials
and structures upon streets, alleys and sidewalks in the City of Euless; and
WHEREAS, the storing, placing, putting and dumping of any material upon
any street, alley or sidewalk in the City of Euless is a hazard to pedestrians
and traffic and should be prohibited in order to preserve public safety.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS:
Section One
No person, firm or corporation shall store, place, put or dump any lumber,
or wood, or metal, or rock, or concrete, or sand or gravel or any other material
whatever, or any structure whatever in, or upon any street, or alley, or sidewalk
in the City of Euless, Texas.
Section Two
The foregoing section shall not apply to any materials or structure neces-
sary for the construction and /or the repair of any street, alley or sidewalk in the
City of Euless, Texas, while such work is in progress, and then only until such
construction and /or repair is completed.
Section Three
Any person or persons, firm or corporation violating this ordinance shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined a sum not less than $10.00 nor more than
$100.00 and each day such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense
and shall be punished as such.
Section Four
This ordinance shall be in full force and efflrct following its adoption and
publication as provided by law.
