General Election
The City of Euless conducts City Council elections each May. This year, the offices of Mayor, Place Two, and Place Four were scheduled for election. At the close of the filing period, each candidate was unopposed therefore the General Election was canceled by order of the City Council at the March 10, 2026 City Council meeting.
Special Election to fill a vacancy
At the January 27, 2026 City Council meeting, Council ordered a Special Election to be held on Saturday, May 2, to fill the unexpired term for Council Member Place One. At the close of the filing period, one candidate was declared unopposed therefore the Special Election was canceled by order of the City Council at the March 10, 2026 City Council meeting.
Charter Amendment Election
Council approved an ordinance at the January 27, 2026 City Council meeting to order a Special Election on Saturday, May 2, to consider twenty amendments to the City of Euless Home Rule Charter. The City Charter was adopted by the citizens of Euless in an election held on July 21, 1962, and was last amended in 1995. The Euless City Council, City staff, and the City Attorney have reviewed the current Charter and identified several occurrences where the current language is in conflict with State law and/or changes are recommended.
Community Information Meeting: Proposed Charter Amendments Election
Join us for the Community Information Meeting regarding the proposed charter amendments election. The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 16, at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 201 N. Ector Drive. Residents are invited to attend while City staff review the proposed amendments. Please note, City staff members are legally limited in what they can say about the proposed Charter amendments to avoid influencing voters. Residents can view the official ballot language as well as a summary for each amendment by visiting www.eulesstx.gov/elections.

Arbor Daze 2026
Join the free fun at Arbor Daze, the ultimate family festival! There will be community entertainment, live performances, carnival rides, games, a drone show, a Kidz Zone, bounce houses, tree giveaways, and concessions. There will be various food eating contests and winners will take home awesome prizes. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets for all of the live entertainment, a drone show, and more!
A 30+ year “Tree City USA” recipient, the City of Euless is proud of its many “tree-mendous” accomplishments promoting Arbor Day. Each attendee of the festival will receive a free tree, while supplies last. The urban tree canopy has been dwindling for decades, and the Arbor Daze Festival has given over 150,000 trees since its inception over 25 years ago. Most of these trees have been planted in the immediate area to replenish the local tree population. For questions or more information, please call 817-685-1666 or visit www.arbordaze.org.

2025 Volunteers of the Year Announced
The City of Euless is privileged to have a dedicated and loyal group of volunteers whose commitment greatly enriches our community. Each year, we honor these exceptional individuals to recognize their dedication and valuable service.

Volunteer Business of the Year
HTeaO is the recipient of this year’s Volunteer Business of the Year Award. Even before they opened their doors in 2025, HTeaO demonstrated that they wanted to be more than just a business in Euless - they wanted to be part of our community. Owners, Patrick and Heather, visited local schools, city offices, and many other places to simply introduce themselves and share the goodness of what their business would bring to Euless. Since opening in March 2025, HTeaO has shown a spirit of generosity by donating beverages and supporting local events.
Volunteer Group of the Year
Amateur Radio Euless is this year’s recipient of the Volunteer Group of the Year. Amateur Radio Euless is a dedicated association of individuals united by a shared passion for amateur radio and a strong commitment to community services. Club members support Euless Emergency Management by providing backup communications, assisting with monthly Outdoor Warning System testing, and providing Storm Spotting services for Fort Worth R.A.C.E.S (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services).
Don Green is the recipient of this year’s Lifetime Contribution Award, recognized for his dedicated service to the Euless community. For generations, the Green name has been synonymous with generosity, good food, and good will in Euless. Don’s father began cooking a free Thanksgiving meal for Euless seniors that grew into a beloved tradition that touched thousands of lives over the years. After his father’s passing, Don continued the tradition of ensuring that hundreds of Euless seniors had a warm, delicious Thanksgiving meal. Don has devoted a lifetime of service to the Euless community from North Main BBQ restaurant to Green’s Texas Bar-B-Que trailer. The City of Euless is proud to honor him.
Michael Knyff is this year’s recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award. Michael spends his time serving and leading in the Euless Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (ECPAAA). Through his leadership, ECPAAA members are kept informed and engaged with Michael’s signature style that reflects his keen attention to detail, genuine encouragement, and unwavering positivity. Beyond ECPAAA, Michael also lends his time and support to the Euless Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association, the Community Emergency Response Team, and other civic organizations, generously sharing his energy and talents across our community.

CPR Blitz Volunteers Needed
The Community Powered Revitalization (CPR) program brings the community together to help homeowners make necessary repairs to their home. Volunteers are needed for the next CPR Blitz on April 17 and 18. Visit www.6stones.org/cpr-volunteer to register and complete the volunteer waiver.

Euless Library Foundation Book Sale
If a large-scale disaster occurred, would you know what to do? The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) initiative prepares citizens to care for themselves and their families in case of a disaster. This free, nine-week course teaches citizens basic emergency response skills. The class is open to anyone who lives or works in Euless, and is at least 18 years old.
