Minutes
March 9, 2026
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 10:03am by Suzy McCormick at the Heritage Museum in
Euless. She warmly welcomed the members.
MEMBERS PRESENT
Randy Byers, Elaine Green, Patsy Hoover, Mary Hunt, Suzy Mccormick, Anniece McKanna, James
Park, Jud Park, Linda Pool, Gary Parker, Joe Robinson, Norma Runyan, Faye Stinneford, and Mavy
Wright.
STAFF PRESENT
PACS Director - Duane Strawn; PACS Assistant Director - Liz Maddox; PACS Administrative Assistant
- Jodie Dunn.
VISITORS PRESENT
None
APPROVAT OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Gary Parker and seconded by Faye Stinneford to approve the minutes from
February. There was unanimous approval, and the motion carried.
TREASURER,S REPORT
The beginning balance effective today is 58,424.13. There was a 5200 expense to Ash Lane
United Methodist Church in memory of Joe Cannon. There was a deposit of S30. The ending
balance is 58,254.13 as of March 9, 2026.
STATUS OF CURRENT PROJECTS
1. Docents and Volunteer Report/Recruitment- Linda Pool circulated signup sheets for
upcoming Open Houses. She than ked Randy Byers and James Park for their assistance with
the HEB Home Learning Community tour on February 24. She also updated the members on
the health of Weldon Cannon. Everyone expressed appreciation to Weldon for his dedication,
service, and donations to the Historical Preservation Committee over the years. lt was
mentioned the Ash Lane United Methodist Church will be having a 150th celebration later this
year and that the museum might have a few items to display at the memorial.
2. Facebook- no report.
3. Plaque - up to date. Mavy advised that Shield Awards will be closing soon. lt will become
necessary to find alternatives if we wish to continue with our current recognition of members

4. Display Signs - Mavy stated Weldon Cannon had written a memorial to Joe Cannon. lt will be
displayed in the museum.
5. Pu blicity/Progra ms/Speakers - no upcoming speakers.
6. Heritage Park-no report.
CHAIRMAN,S REPORT_
None
STAFF REPORT-
Mr. Strawn reminded the members of the new janitorial and pest control service.
COMMITTEE REPORT / INPUT -
There was a discussion regarding HPC member shirts, badges, and acquisition of additional
display cabinets. No formal decisions were made, but recommendations were made for
suppliers.
Faye Stinneford advised she still has tickets for sale to the upcoming ECPAAA Annual BBQ dinner
on March 28.
ADJOURNMENT
Gary Parker made a motion to adjourn the meeting; seconded by James Park. The meeting
adjourned at 10:47am.
