HomeMy WebLinkAbout1959-04-28109 Regular Meeting Euless City Council April 28, 1959 The regular meeting of the Euless City Council was held on April 28, 1959• Present were Mayor Ernest Millican, Jr Councilmen Paul Horton, Bobby Fuller, and Ross Ferris. 1. Appearing before the City Council was Mr. Royce E. Wisenbaker, President of the Wisenbaker & Fix Company, to discuss the planning program and the financing thereof. He stated that Caldwell & Caldwell had similar planning programs for a number of other cities, and that he regarded them as highly competent in the field of city growth planning and that their services would be worth much more than it would cost the City of Euless. Caldwell and Caldwell would make very little profit out of this job, but inasmuch as they had worked with them on several other city planning jobs, they would do this work for $5,000.00. His company would pay them and the city could pay Wisenbaker S Fix Company back over a two year period and probably over a three year period if the City wanted to pay it that way. He did not recommend trying to get the federal government to help in this matter, that this would be a long drawn out time, possibly one and one -half or two years if you could get them to help, and that it would require much additional preparation of materials and data required by them if they participated in this program. This would be slow and delay the program which should be pushed rapidly now. 2.
