AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
1334 ADOPTING THE OFFICIAL
OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGET FOR
THE CITY OF EULESS FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1998 AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER 30,1999; PROVIDING
FOR CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION
DISTRICT AMENDED BUDGET.
WHEREAS, on August 25, 1998, the Euless City council adopted a budget including
the Crime Control and Prevention District for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1998
and ending September 30, 1999, and
WHEREAS, the Crime Control and Prevention District Board has recommended an
amendment to Ordinance #1334 to include a transfer of $510,000 from the Crime
Control and Prevention District Fund to the Police Facility Construction Fund; and
WHEREAS, such funds are available from the fiscal year 1997 -98 unexpended fund
balance to cover such amendment,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EULESS,TEXAS:
SECTION 1
THAT the official budget for the City of Euless for the fiscal year beginning October 1,
1998, and ending September 30, 1999, be amended to increase total expenditures of
the Crime Control and Prevention District to $1,495,000 with $510,000 thereof to be
allocated to the Police Facility Construction Fund.
SECTION 2
THAT all funds appropriated and allocated shall be expended and used pursuant to the
provisions of such official budget and the Euless City Manager shall be directed to
appropriate and expend city funds according to City Charter provisions.
SECTION 3
THAT the City Manager is authorized from time to time as he may deem to be in the
best interest of the City of Euless, to invest city funds not immediately required for
current use, including operating funds and bond funds, as per Council adopted
Investment Policy.

SECTION 4
EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall become effective immediately from and after
its passage as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
PRESENTED AND APPROVED on First and Final Reading at a regular meeting of the
Euless City Council on the 22nd day of June, 1999, by a vote of 6 ayes, o
nays, and 0 abstentions.
