At 3:58 p.m. Friday, police received reports that someone might have had a weapon on campus, according to a statement. The school resource officer coordinated a police response and administrators initiated a lockdown. The three minors were detained “within minutes” of the initial report, and officers from neighboring schools and the Euless Police Department’s criminal investigations division assisted in securing the school, police said. Officers found the threat was not credible, and no weapons were found. The detained minors were not students at Euless Trinity and will not be publicly identified because of their age, police said. According to a message that school officials sent to parents, the juveniles may have been trespassing on the campus. Potential charges remain pending.
