A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Ferris, that Ordinances No. 50 and 79 be amended to
require a blanket two year maintenance bond on streets. This Maintenance
Bond must be a minimum of $5,000.00 with rights being reserved to required that
this amount be increased when it becomes apparent that the $5000.00 bond is
insufficient. Building permits cannot be issued until the developer has
complied with one of these three methods:
1. Streets shall be completed first and the city is furnished with a
a blanket two year Maintenance Bond, of sufficient amount.
2. In l i e u of a performance bond, the developer can deposit money in
escrow with the City representing the cost of building the streets.
This money to be returned when the streets are completed, and the
City is furnished with a blanket Maintenance Bond of sufficient amount.
3. The developer furnish the City with a Performance Bond for 100 %of the
cost of building the streets, and a blanket two year Maintenance Bond
of sufficient amount.
The vote in favor of this motion was
unanimous.

Councilman Anderson suggest to the City
Council that the City require two valleys 10 feet wide with 4" asphalt i n the
center of each valley, feathered out to 12" at each intersection. City Attorney
Bondurant was to discuss this matter with the City Engineer of Arlington i n
an effort to find out the best method to keep the intersections from deteriorating.
He i s also to discuss the placing of steel rods i n curbs and how they are tied
together.
Mr. Anderson suggested that the City require
contractors to have tests made on the streets they construct. They are to pay
for these tests and submit the results to the City Engineer or any other
designated person.

A motion was made by Councilman Nix, and
seconded by Councilman Ferris, that the name of FM157 be changed to Industrial
Avenue where it runs through the city I i m i is of Euless. The vote i n favor was
unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Horton, and
seconded by Councilman Ferris, that the City subscribe to the Commercial
Recorded as it gives the daily transfer of property in Tarrant County. This
information is very valuable to the Tax Department in keeping the tax rolls
up to date. The vote in favor was unanimous.
5.
A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Horton, that the City purchase a supply of letterhead
suitable to mimeograph welcome to Euless letters to new residents. The vote
in favor was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Anderson, that the City write a letter to City Manager
L. P. Cookingham of Fort Worth with reference to the lots on the dividing line
of the Fort Worth and Euless city limits in the Oak Crest Estates Addition. The
vote in favor was unanimous.
7.
A motion was made by Councilman Anderson,
and seconded by Councilman Fuller, that the City write to Mr. W. G. Fuller,
Chairman of the Aviation Committee of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce and
invite him to visit one of the City Council meetings. The vote i n favor was
unanimous.
A motion was made by Councilman Nix, and
seconded by Councilman Ferris, that Ordinance No. 116 be approved and adopted.
Ordinance No. 116 i s known as the Traffic Code of the City of Euless, Texas.
The vote i n favor was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Ferris that Councilman Anderson be authorized to have the
junk and weeds and high grass around the City Hall and Fire Station be cleaned up.
The vote i n favor was unanimous.

A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Ferris, that the City sel I the Coolerator a i r conditioner
if we can get as much as $150.00 for it. The vote in favor was unanimous.
