HomeMy WebLinkAbout1441 09-12-2000ORDINANCE NO. 1441 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE OFFICIAL OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF EULESS FOR, THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2000 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2001; AND AMENDING THEE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR OCTOBER 1, 1999, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2000 PROVIDIINrG FOR THE 1INVESTMENTS OF FUNDS; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on August 22nd, 2000, the Euless City Council held a Public Nearing on its proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2000, and ending September 30, 2001; and WHEREAS, the proposed budget was on file in the office of the City Secretary of the City of Euless since July 28, 2000, available to the citizens and the public for their inspection, as well as an opportunity to be heard on said date; WHEREAS, due notice of such hearing on the budget was duly published; and at the conclusion of such hearing, it was determined that such budget should be adopted; NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEAS: SECTION 'I THAT the official budget for the City of Euless for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2000, and ending September 30, 2001, be, and the same is hereby adopted by the Euless City Council, and the Euless City Secretary is directed to keep and maintain a copy of such official budget on file in the office of the City Secretary available for inspection by citizens and the general public. SECTION 2 THAT all funds appropriated and allocated shall be expended and used pursuant to the provisions of such official budget and the Euless City Manager shall be directed to appropriate and expend City funds according to City Charter provisions. THAT the sums below are hereby appropriated from the respective operating funds for the payment of expenditures on behalf of the city government as established in the approved budget document: THAT Capital Project Fund expenditures are to be increased (decreased) as indicated below based on additional funding sources or use of prior year receipts. Capital projects fund appropriations extend for the life of the project. SECTPON 4 'FFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall become effective immediately from and after its ,passage as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas. PRESENTED AND APPROVED on first reading at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on the 22nd day of August, 2000, by a vote of 4 ayes, 3 nays, and 0 abstentions- PRESENTED AND APPROVED on second and Final reading at a regular meeting of the Euless City Council on the 12th day of September, 2000, by a vote of 4 ayes, 3 nays, and 0 abstentions.
