Regular Meeting
Euless City Council
December 22, 1959
The regular meeting of the Euless City
Council was held on December 22, 1959. Present were Mayor Ernest Millican, Jr.,
Councilmen Ross Ferris, Lee Roy Nix, and J. S. Anderson.
1.
A motion was made by Councilman Ferris, and
seconded by Councilman Nix, that Ordinance No. 121 be approved and adopted.
Ordinance No. 121 is known as the Street Improvement Ordinance. All Councilmen
present voted in favor of this motion.
2.
A motion was made by Councilman Ferris, and
seconded by Councilman Nix, that the Tax Assessor /Collector be given the
authority to use the necessary help to make copies of the Euless Tax Cards on
file at the Hurst - Euless Independent School Tax Office. All Councilmen
present voted in favor of this motion.
3.
A motion was made by Councilman Anderson,
and seconded by Councilman Ferris, that the Mayor and as many Councilmen as
possible meet with the Hurst - Euless School Board and discuss with them what
they will charge us for furnishing us with the information we need for our
1960 tax rolls. All Councilmen present voted in favor of this motion.
4.
A motion was made by Councilman Ferris, and
seconded by Councilman Nix, that the Tax Assessor /Collector send a notice to
each delinquent tax account on our 1958 tax rolls, reminding them that they
have taxes that are delinquent and asking them for prompt payment. All
Councilmen present voted in favor of this motion.
5.
A motion was made by Councilman Anderson,
and seconded by Councilman Ferris, that any of the Euless Police Department
picking up dogs or dead animals shall be paid at the same rate as the Dog
Warden. Location of the animals picked up must be shown. All Councilmen
present voted in favor of this motion.
The council meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
