ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB - SECTION 2.08 of ARTICLE II
OF ORDINANCE NO. 89 TO PROVIDE PENALTY AND
INTEREST ON DELIN UEN TAXES; PROVIDING FOR A
SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS,
that Sub - Section 2.08 of Article II, Ordinance No. 89 , is
hereby amended to read as follows:
I.
«2.08 Delinquent Taxes.
All taxes for each year are hereby declared to be delinquent
on the first day of February of the year following that
for which such taxes were levied, and it is hereby made
the duty of the assessor and collector of taxes to collect
from each and every person whose taxes are delinquent
under the provisions of this section the following penalty,
to -wit:
During the month

Plus 3 of 1% per mo
of February, one (1 %) per cent;
of March, two (2 %) er cent;
of April, three (
3 %� per cent;
of May, four (4 %) per cent;
of June, five (5 %) per cent;

II.
All prior ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict
herewith shall be and are hereby repealed.
III.
This Ordim nee shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage and publication as
provided by law.
