Present were Mayor Ernest Millican, Jr., Councilmen Paul Horton, Bobby Fuller, Ross Ferris, Lee Roy Nix, and 3. S. Anderson. 1. The City Council discussed City employee benefits as outlined in council mfnutes of February 25, 1958. They are as follows: Holidays - New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Other benefits - two week vacation annually and twenty-one days sick leave with pay after one year's continuous service, not to be accumul ated. When an employee of the Police Department has to be on duty on one of these holidays, he will be given another day off at the discretion of the Chief of Police so the normal operation of the Police Department. Sustaire made the following recommendation to the City Council: 1. All personnel under the supervision of the Chief of Police should follow this procedure: Each tour of duty shall be covered by the man assigned to the duty unless he has permission from the Chief of Police or the Police Sargeant to have a substitute cover his tour of duty. City Secretary shall be advised so that he can adjust the hours worked by each employee. In each case that this happens, the 2.
