AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30, "FEES',
SECTION 30 -27, "RECREATION AREAS OR FACILITIES',
SUBSECTION (i) "GOLF COURSE GREEN FEES ", AND
SUBSECTION Q) "STARLITE RATE ", OF THE EULESS
CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SAVING
CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF EULESS,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1
That Chapter 30, "Fees ", Section 30-27, 'Recreation Areas or Facility ", Subsection (i) "Golf
course green fees" be amended to hereafter read as follows:
Section 30 -27. Recreation areas or facilities.
(i) Golf course green fees:
Green Fees:
Weekday $40.00
Weekend & Holidays $60.00
Twilight Weekday $20.00
Twilight Weekend $30.00
Cart Fee: $15.00 + tax
Discounts: All discounts will include green fees and cart fees.
Members - 15% discount for weekday, weekend, and twilight
Residents - 15% discount for weekday and weekend only
Resident Members - An aggregate 30% discount for weekday and
weekend rates and twilight
Senior /Juniors - 20% discount for weekday rates
Definitions. For the purpose of green fees the following
definitions shall apply:
Resident. A person having a residential Euless mailing
address or who owns a business in Euless.
Senior. A person 60 years of age or older at time of play.
Junior. A person 17 years of age or under at the time of play.
SECTION 2
That Chapter 30, "Fees ", Section 30 -27, "Recreation Areas or Facility", Subsection (j)
"Starlite Rate" be amended to hereafter read as follows:
Section 30 -27. Recreation areas or facilities.
0) Starlite Rate:
Allows players the opportunity to play Texas Star Golf Course for $35 Monday —
Thursday (excluding holidays) and $45 Friday — Sunday, which includes green
fee and electric cart.
Members of Texas Star Golf Course will receive a 15% discount off all Starlite
rates.
Program is to be administered by the Head Golf Professional and General
Manager of Texas Star.
SAVING CLAUSE. That applicable chapters of the Code of Ordinances, City of Euless,
Texas, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect, save and except as amended by
this ordinance.
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City
Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance
are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance
shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of
competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the
remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance, since
the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this
ordinance of any such invalid or unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or
section.
EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
PRESENTED AND APPROVED ON THE FIRST AND FINAL READING on the 10"' day
of December, 2002, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas,
by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays and 0 abstentions.
