AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A 100.31 ACRE TRACT OF
LAND OUT OF THE J,M. CUMMINGS SURVEY, TARRANT
COUNTY, TEXAS, TO THE CITY OF EULESS TEXAS;
PROVIDING THAT A CERTIFED COPY OF THIS ORDINANCE
AND OF THE PETITION FOR ANNEXATION BE RECORDED
AT THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK OF TARRANT
COUNTY, TEXAS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on December 12, 1961, T.B. CRCMRR AND CENTRO DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION requested the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas, to
annex a 100.31 acre tract of land out of the J.M, Cummings Survey, Tarrant
County, Texas, as hereinafter more fully described; and
WHEREAS, the said T,E, CRCMER AND CENTRO DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
are the owmera and /or sole parties having an interest in said 100.31 acre
tract of lands and
WHEREAS such 100,31 acre tract of land is contiguous and adjacent
to the City Limits of the City of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas, and such
tract of land is vacant and without residents; and
WHEREAS, the said T.B, CRCMRR AND CENTRO DEVELOPMENT CCRPORATION,
pursuant to Article 974-6, Revived Civil Stc.tutes of the State of Texas,
have petitioned the City Council of the City of Euless to annex such
100.31 acre tract of land, a copy of said Petition being attached hereto
and by reference made a part of this Ordinances
NOW, THEREFCRE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Euless, Texas:
I,
That the following described 100.31 acre tract of land out of the
J,M, Cummings Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, be annexed and made a part
of the City of Euless, Texas, and that the boundary lines of said City
shall be held to encompass such tracts
BEING a part of the J,M, Cimmings Survey, Tarrant
County, Texas, and part of a 168,6 acre tract of land
conveyed to T.H. Cromer by S.E, Cromer, et ux, by deed
recorded in Vol. 1971, Page 209, Deed Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, the herein conveyed tract being described
as follows%
BEGINNING at an iron pin 11,0 feet South oo degrees
29 minutes West of the Northwest corner of 4aid tract,
410 varas East of the Northwest corner of the J,M. Cummings
Surveys
THENCE along the south ROW line of County Road Project
No. 3093 and following a fence line - south 88 deg. 18 min.
east 1149.7 feet and south 88 deg. 29min, east 800.0 feet to
an iron pin for corners
THRICE south along the east fence line of T.H. Cromer
tract 2627.3 feet to an iron pin for corner in the north
row line of Harwood Road;
THENCE along the north ROW fence line of said road - south
89 eeg, 05 min. vast 854,4 feet and north 87 deg. 42 min. west
695,2 feet to an 9.zon FLn for corner in a west fence line of
said tract;
THENCE along said west fen -7e line - north 03 deg. 25 min.
east 376.0 feet and north 02 deg. 52 min east 1377.7 feet
to an iron pin for corner;
THEME south 81 deg. 42 min, west 484.5 feet to an iron
pin for corner;
THENCE north 00 deg 29 min west 924.4 feet to place of
beginning and containing 100.31 acres of land more or less.
II.
That this Ordinance shall be effective and shall be in full force
and effect upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of Euless,
Texas.
III.
That the City Secretary of the City of Euless shall forward a
certified copy of this Ordinance, together with a copy of the Petition
for Annexation, to be filled for record in the Office of the County
Clerk of Tarrant County, Texas.
ADOPTED this 26th day of December, 1961.
