AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30, "FEES ",
SECTION 30 -16, "SOLID WASTE COLLECTION ",
SUBSECTIONS "SERVICE FEES TO CUSTOMERS ", AND
"COMMERCIAL RATE SCHEDULE ", SECTION 30 -28,
"LIBRARY ", SUBSECTION (1) "LIBRARY MATERIALS
AND FACILITIES ", SECTION 30 -34, "WATER DEPOSITS ",
SECTION 30 -38, "MISCELLANEOUS FEES ", AND
SECTION 30-40, "SUBDIVISIONS ", PROVIDING A SAVING
CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF
EULESS,TEXAS:
SECTION 1
That Chapter 30, "Fees ", Section 30 -16, "Solid Waste Collection ", Subsection
"Service Fees to Customers ", be amended to correct the following items to hereafter read
as follows:
Section 30 -16. Solid Waste Collection
Service Fees to Customers
Residential curbside pickup twice a week, monthly rate ................ $ 5.40
Loose brush (per 5 cu. yard load) .............. ............................... $10.00

Materials and Facilities ", be amended to add the following item to hereafter read as
follows:

Collection agency charge for overdue and non - returned materials .... $8.95
SECTION 3
That Chapter 30, "Fees ", Section 30 -34, "Water Deposits ", be amended by the
amendment and addition of the following to hereafter read as follows:
Amending the following item:
Fire hydrant meter deposit .................... ............................... $1,000.00
Addition of the following item (under "Delinquent accounts "):
Administrative fee associated with placing liens against
non - homestead property for unpaid utility bills ............................... $50.00
SECTION 4
That Chapter 30, "Fees ", Section 30 -38, "Miscellaneous Fees ", be amended by
the amendment, addition, and deletion of the following items to hereafter read as
follows:

Amendment of the following item:
Delinquent court debt or account referred for collection ............ Additional

That Chapter 30, "Fees ", Section 30-40, "Subdivisions ", be amended by
amending the following item to hereafter read as follows:
Section 30-40. Subdivisions
Public works inspection (after hours and weekends) .................. Additional

SECTION 6
SAVING CLAUSE. That applicable chapters of the Code of Ordinances, City of Euless,
Texas, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect, save and except as amended by
this ordinance.
SECTION 7
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City
Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance
are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance
shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of
competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the
remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance, since
the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this
ordinance of any such invalid or unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or
section.
SECTION 8
EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and publication as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of the State
of Texas.

PRESENTED AND APPROVED ON THE FIRST AND FINAL READING on the 9th day
of December, 2003, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas,
by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
