Euless City Council
March 10, 1960
A called meeting of the Euless City
Council was held on March 10, 1960. Present were Mayor Ernest Millican, Jr.,
Councilmen Bobby Fuller, Ross Ferris, Lee Roy Nix, and J. S. Anderson.
1.
A motion was made by Councilman Ferris, and
seconded by Councilman Fuller, that specific names must be shown on the election
ballots and no titles. All Councilmen present voted in favor of this motion.

A motion was made by Councilman Fuller, and
seconded by Councilman Nix, that the City Council give favorable consideration to
the acquisition of the park area in the Midway Park Addition, if the Home Owners
Association, the present owners, decide to relinquish the park. A I I Councilmen
present voted in favor of this motion.

A motion was made by Councilman Nix, and
seconded by Councilman Ferris, that we call Mr. W. E. Smith, Tax Assessor and
Collector for the Hurst - Euless School District, and find out if it is possible
for the Euless City councilmen to meet with him tonight to discuss the
possibility of working out arrangements with him for his office to do the
assessing of taxes for the City of Euless, and let us do the collecting, and
what he would charge us for this service. The vote in favor of this motion
was unanimous by a l l Councilmen present.
