AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A 100.02 ACRE TRACT OF LAND
OUT OF THE JAMES P. HALFORD SURVEY, TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS, TO THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT A
CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS ORDINANCE AND OF THE PETITION
FOR ANNEXATION BE RECORDED AT THE OFFICE OF THE
COUNTY CLERK OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on March 14, 1961, L. L. WALLER and J. L. HODGES,
Trustees for MIDWAY PARK DEVELOPERS, requested the City Council of the
City of Euless, Texas, to annex a 100.02 acre tract of land out of the
James P. Halford Survey, Tarrant County, Texas, as hereinafter more fully
described; and
WHEREAS, the said MIDWAY PARK DEVELOPERS is the owner
and /or sole parties having an interest in said 100.02 acre tract of land;
and
WHEREAS, such 100.02 acre tract of land is contiguous and
adjacent to the City Limits of the City of Euless, Tarrant County, Texas,
and such tract of land is vacant and without residerts; and
WHEREAS, the said L. L. WALLER and J. L. HODGES, Trustees
for MIDWAY PARK DEVELOPERS, pursuant to Article 974 -G, Revised Civil
Statutes of the State of Texas, have petitioned the City Council of the
City of Euless to annex such 100.02 acre tract of land, a copy of said
Petition attached hereto and by reference made a part of this Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Euless, Texas:
I.
That the following described 100.02 acre tract of land out of
the James P. Halford Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, be annexed and
made a part of the City of Euless, Texas, and that the boundary lines of
said City shall be held to encompass such tract:
BEGINNING at a point in the Center line of Harwood
Road, said point being the Northwest Corner of the Midway
Park Addition to the City of Euless, Texas, according to
the Plat thereof as filed in Vol. 388 -Ten, Page 109, of the
Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE South 2,055.0 feet to the Southwest Corner
of Lot 4 of Block 14 of the Midway Park Addition;
THENCE North 860 40' West 125.2 feet;
THENCE South 3 0. 0 feet;
THENCE North 750 21' West 222.4 feet;
THENCE West 175.0 feet;
THENCE South 149.4 feet;
THENCE North 760 00' West 254.9 feet;
_ THENCE in a Westerly direction 577.2 feet with a
curve to the left of central angle of 380 30' and a Tangent
of 300.0 feet;
THENCE South 650 30' West 792.0 feet;
THENCE in a Northerly direction 477.9 feet with a
curve to the right of central angle of 770 34' and a Tangent
of 854.35 feet;
THENCE North 020 04' East 713.5 feet;
THENCE South 890 18' East 200.0 feet;
THENCE North 000 48' West 1, 340. 6 feet;
THENCE South 870 48' East 1, 082.9 feet with the
center line of Harwood Road;
THENCE North 890 00' East 854. 5 feet to the point of
beginning and containing 100.02 acres of land, more or less.
Ii.
That this Ordinance shall be effective and shall be in full force
and effect upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of Euless, Texas.
III.
That the City Secretary of the City of Euless shall forward a
copy of this Ordinance, together with a copy of the Petition for Annexation
to be filed for record in the Office of the County Clerk of Tarrant County,
Texas.
