HomeMy WebLinkAbout169 06-12-1962ORDINANCE NO. 169 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 33 IDENTIFIED AS THE TEMPORARY COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR CHANGE OF DESIGNATION IN CERTAIN AREA AND AMENDING ZONING MAP TO CONFORM WITH SUCH AMENDMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission of the City of Euless, after consideration of application from E. L. Baker, owner of the real property hereinafter described, situated within said City, and having held public hearing thereon, in which all interested persons and owners of property in the vicinity of said realty were given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard in connection with said application, having recommended to the City Council a change in the zoning designation of said tract, and as by law provided publication of a Notice of Final Hearing on such recommendation was made by publishing the same in the Daily News- Texan, the official newspaper of the City, on the 27th day of April, 1962, and after said public hearing being held in accordance with the said notice in which all owners of property in the City of Euless, Texas, were given ample and sufficient opportunity to be heard, the City Council deems it to be to the best interest of said City and its inhabi- tants that such recommendation be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EULESS, TEXAS: I. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the official District Zoning Map of the City of Euless, Texas, being a part of Ordinance No. 33, be amended to read as follows: THAT the designation of two tracts of land, in Tarrant County, Texas, described as follows: FIRST TRACT: BEING 80.292 acres of land out of the Kitty House Survey, Abstract No. 678, in Tarrant County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the West line of the Kitty House Survey, said point being South 0 deg. 15 min. East 2638.6 feet from the Northwest corner of said survey -- said place of beginning also being the Southwest corner of an 80 -acre tract out of said survey conveyed to Homer M. French, et ux, by United Fidelity Life Ins. Co. by deed dated July 8, 1941, recorded in Book 1483, page 418, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas; THENCE North 0 deg. 15 min. West with West line of Kitty House Survey, 1625 feet to stake in the South line of State Highway No. 183, for corner; THENCE North 66 deg. 57 min. East with said Highway South line 1910 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE South 0 deg. 15 min. East along fence line 2372.6 feet to a point in the North line of County Road; THENCE South 89 deg. 57 min. West 345.9 feet with the North line of County Road to a stake for corner; THENCE North 0 deg. 22 min. West 207 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE West 104.4 feet to a stake for corner; THENCE South 0 deg. 15 min. East 207 feet to a stake for corner in the North line of County Road; THENCE West with said North line 1309.7 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and containing 80.292 acres of land, more or less. SECOND TRACT: BEING 28 acres more or less in the Kitty House Survey in Tarrant County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a stake in the North Line of said Survey, 324. 6 varas West of its Northeast corner of an 80 -acre tract deeded to Johnnie Parker by E. A. Euliss and wife, as shown by deed dated December 26, 1882, recorded in Vol. Y, Page 583, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas; THENCE South 975 varas; THENCE East 162.3 varas; THENCE North 975 varas; THENCE West 162.3 varas to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, less and except the following three (3) tracts: (A) 1. 27 6 acres of land conveyed by Wm. Lewis and wife, Laura Lewis, to Tarrant County, shown by deed dated August 28, 1934, recorded in Vol. 1230, page 183, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas; (B) 0.45 acres of land conveyed by Mrs. Wm. Lewis to the State of Texas, as shown by deed dated September 6, 1938, recorded in Vol. 1369, page 620, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas; and (C) 0.45 acres of land conveyed by Texas Federation of Colored Women's Club, a corporation, to Claude L. Ray, as shown by deed dated March 27, 1951, recorded in Vol. 2303, page 487, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas. now zoned "A" Single - Family Dwelling, be zoned "C" Commercial District. Ii.
