AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30, "FEES ", SECTION 30 -26,
"SWIMMING POOLS ", SECTION 30 -27, "RECREATION AREAS OR
FACILITIES ", SECTION 30 -28, "LIBRARY", AND SECTION 30 -38,
"MISCELLANEOUS FEES ", OF THE EULESS CODE OF ORDINANCES;
PROVIDING A SAVING CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF
EULESS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1
THAT Chapter 30, "Fees ", Section 30 -26, "Swimming Pools ", be hereby amended
in its entirety to be and read as follows:
Swimming pool daily entrance ... ............................... $ 1.00
Swimming pool coupon book for 25 passes ................. 20.00
Pool rental per hour - residents . ............................... 25.00
Pool rental per hour — non - residents .......................... 50.00
Pool lifeguard during rentals, per hour, per lifeguard 10.00
(1 lifeguard for every 25 people with a minimum
of 2 lifeguards)
SECTION 2
THAT Chapter 30, "Fees ", Section 30 -27, "Recreation Areas or Facility',
Subsection (a) "Bob Eden Field Rental" and Subsection (e) "Simmons Center, Ruth
Millican Center and Fuller House" be amended in its entirety to be and read as follows:
Section 30 -27. Recreation areas or facilities.
(a) Bob Eden Park, Midway Park and West Park field rental:
(Fields are intended for practice use only.)
(1) Lighted per hour — resident .................... $18.00
(2) Unlighted per hour — resident .................. $10.00
(3) Lighted per hour— non - resident .............. $28.00
(4) Unlighted per hour — non - resident ............ $20.00
(5) Light Key Deposit ......... .........................$25.00
(e) Ruth Millican Center:
(1) Resident Rentals — 3 hours ................... $100.00
(2) Nonresident Rentals — 3 hours ............... 200.00
(3) Resident — each additional hour .............. 35.00
(4) Nonresident— each additional hour .... *..... 70.00
(5) Deposit with food and beverages ............. 250.00
(6) Deposit without food and beverages ......... 50.00
(7) Additional building attendant per hour
— if needed .......... ............................... 15.00
(The Recreation Department has the right to
determine if additional staff is needed for the
nature and population of the event, and
may make additional charges for actual costs
incurred as needed.)
SECTION 3
THAT Chapter 30, "Fees ", Section 30 -28, "Library', Subsection (1) "Library
Materials and Facilities" be amended by removing the following:
Reserves for DVDs ................. $0.50
SECTION 4
THAT Chapter 30, "Fees, Section 30 -38, "Miscellaneous Fees" be amended as
follows:
Research for non - government requests for public
information, per hour for documents located in a
remote storage facility, or in two or more separate
buildings not physically connected .. ............................... $15.00
SAVING CLAUSE. That applicable chapters of the Code of Ordinances, City of
Euless, Texas, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect, save and except as
amended by this ordinance.
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the
City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this
ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of
this ordinance shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or

decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall
not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of
this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the
incorporation in this ordinance of any such invalid or unconstitutional phrase, clause,
sentence, paragraph or section.
EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by the Euless City Charter and the laws of
the State of Texas.
PRESENTED AND APPROVED ON THE FIRST AND FINAL READING on the
27th day of June, 2006, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Euless,
Texas, by a vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 abstentions.
