Roy Nix, H. M. Huffman, and Roy Braswell. 7 . A motion was made by Councilman Nix, and seconded by Councilman Huffman, that Councilman Ross F e r r i s be appointed t o serve as Mayor
Pro Tem during the absence o f Mayor M i l l i c a n and Mayor Pro Tem F u l l e r , who are on vacation. Three Councilmen voted i n favor o f t h i s motion and One, Councilman F e
r r i s , not voting. 2. The minutes o f the regular council meeting o f July 26, 1960 were read by the C i t y Secretary and approved by the C i t y Counci 1. 3. M r . David Moak, representating
the T r i -C i t i e s Development Company, appeared before the C i t y Council with a f i n a l p l a t o f Oakwood Terrace Fourth F i l i n g . A motion was made by Councilman Huffman,
and ' seconded by Councilman Braswell, that t h i s p l a t be tabled f o r f u r t h e r study o f the drainage easement when the f u l l Council w i l l be present. A l l Councilmen
present voted i n favor of t h i s motion. 4. M r . W. G. Douglas, representing the T r i -C i t i e s Development Company, submitted to the C i t y Council a preliminary p l a t of
Oakwood Terrace Addition, Third F i l i n g , covering four l o t s on Vine STreet, Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block 1. A motion was made by Councilman Braswell, and seconded by Councilman
Nix, that t h i s preliminary p l a t be approved subject t o compliance w i t h e x i s t i n g s t r e e t ordinances. A l l Councilmen present voted i n favor of t h i s motion. 5.
Mr. A. V. Cole, 1408 Nelson Terrace, Arlington, Texas, appeared before the C i t y Council requesting permission t o put a Go-Cart Tract on the Ross Smith property back o f the service
s t a t i o n on FM Highway 157. He stated he planned t o put i n a track 210 feet by 325 feet and that it would be approximately 120 feet back from the right-of-way l i n e o f FM Highway
157.

f u r t h e r action was taken. M r . Cole was advised that a t a l a t e r date he could submit t h i s request to the f u l l Council. 6. Mrs. T. M. Barrow of Fort Worth appeared before
the C i t y Council requesting a temporary permit t o operate a beauty shop i n her home which she plans to b u i l d i n Euless. She was advised that it was a v i o l a t i o n o f
the Euless Planning and Zoning Ordinance t o operate a beauty shop i n her home unless it was i n an area t h a t was zoned for Local Business or-Commerc i a 1 "C" zon i ng des i gna
t ion. 7. The C i t y Council received a request from D r . R. F. Braswell t h a t Lot 24, Block 1, Euless Gardens, 208 North Main Street, be rezoned from "A" Res i dent i a 1 to "Bll
Loca 1 Bus i nes s . A motion was made by Councilman Huffman, and seconded by Councilman Nix, t h a t inasmuch as property adjacent to t h i s property was already zoned Local Business
t h a t t h i s be approved and t h a t the C i t y Attorney be authorized to c a l l a p u b l i c hearing on t h i s request. A l l Councilmen present voted i n favor o f t h i s motion.
8. I A motion was made by Councilman Nix, and I seconded by Councilman Huffman, t h a t Resolution No. 35 be approved and adopted. Resolution No. 35 authorizes temporary Mayor Pro Tem
Ross F e r r i s to sign checks f o r the C i t y of Euless during the absence of Mayor M i l l i c a n and Mayor Pro Tem F u l l e r , who are on vacation. A l l Councilmen present

A motion was made by Councilman Nix to approve
* this request, but as there was no second to this motion no further action was
taken. Mr. Cole was advised that at a later date he could submit this
request
to the full Council.

Mrs. T. M. Barrow of Fort Worth appeared
before the City Council requesting a temporary permit to operate a beauty shop
in her home which she plans to build in Euless. She was advised that it was
a violation of the Euless Planning and Zoning Ordinance to operate a beauty
shop in her home unless it was in an area that was zoned for Local Business
or- Commerc i a 1 "C" zon i ng des i gna t ion.

The City Council received a request from Dr.
R. F. Braswell that Lot 24, Block 1, Euless Gardens, 208 North Main Street, be
rezoned from "A" Res i dent i a 1 to "Bll Loca 1 Bus i nes s .
A motion was made by Councilman Huffman,
and seconded by Councilman Nix, that inasmuch as property adjacent
to this
property was already zoned Local Business that this be approved and that the
City Attorney be authorized to call a public hearing on this request. All
Councilmen present voted in favor of this motion.

A motion was made by Councilman Nix, and I
seconded by Councilman Huffman, that Resolution No. 35 be approved and adopted.
Resolution No. 35 authorizes temporary Mayor Pro Tem Ross Ferris to sign checks
for the City of Euless during the absence of Mayor Millican and Mayor Pro Tem
Fuller, who are on vacation. All Councilmen present voted in favor of this
mot ion.

and seconded by Councilman Huffman, that Ordinance No. 132 be approved and
adopted. Ordinance No. 132 changes the zoning designation on 25.8 acres in the
A. M. Downing Survey from "A" Single Family Dwell ing to "C" Commercial. The
legal description is as follows:
