Present were Mayor Ernest M i l l i c a n , Jr., Councilmen Bobby F u l l e r , Ross F e r r i s , H. M. Huffman, and Roy Braswell. V i s i t o r s present were Messrs. Warren F u l l e r , Dan Peters, Robert N a i l , A l t a r Horton. W. L. Bondurant, C i t y Attorney, W. A. E l l i o t t , J r . , C i t y Engineer, Bob Brady, and Tom Haymen. 1. A motion was made by Councilman F u l l e r and seconded by Councilman F e r r i s , t h a t F u l l e r Drive be designated a major thoroughf a r e w i t h a f i f t y foot right-of-way and have f o r t y feet o f paving from back o f curb t o back o f curb; that the Post O f f i c e should have ninety degree head-in parking on F u l l e r Drive and that part o f the islands should be cut o f f . Request that the owners o f the Post O f f i c e l o t contribute f i v e feet t o increase the right-of-way o f Main Street from f i f t y feet t o s i x t y feet, and t o require them to set t h e i r curbs 243 feet from the center l i n e o f Main Street. A l l Councilmen present voted i n favor of t h i s motion. 2. A motion was made by Councilman Braswell, and seconded by Councilman F e r r i s , t o require property owners t o increase the r i g h t-of-way on both North and South Main Streets from f i f t y feet t o s i x t y feet w i t h the a d d i t i o n a l ten feet being contributed by property owners, f i v e feet on each side of the s t r e e t . A l l Councilmen present voted i n favor o f t h i s motion. 3. M r . Bob Brady and M r . Tom Haymen, representing the Mayflower Investment Company appeared before the C i t y Council t o discuss the new model house they are s t a r t i n g i n Midway Park. The house has 864 square f e e t and the following dimensions: twenty-four feet by t h i r t y -s i x feet. 4. A motion was made by Councilman F e r r i s , and seconded by Councilman F u l l e r , t h a t Ordinance No. 137 be approved and adopted. Ordinance No. 137 amends Ordinance No. 28 as follows: That, subparagraph "A" o f Section 6 of Ordinance No. 28 be and i s hereby amended as follows: 1. The main b u i l d i n g t o be used f o r dwelling purposes, and a l l accessory buildings thereto, hereafter erected i n the C i t y o f Euless, Texas, shall be constructed o f wood, b r i c k , b r i c k veneer, or stucco, or other s u i table b u i l d i n g materials; provided that such buildings s h a l l be o f double wall construction. Exterior walls shall have v e r t i c a l studs with not more than 24" centers and s h a l l have a minimum of three 5/8 inch o f dead a i r space, and double plates s h a l l be used at the top o f windows and doors. And that a l l e x t e r i o r woodwork s h a l l be covered with two coats o f paint; and provided f u r t h e r that such buildings s h a l l have concrete slab foundation or concrete p i e r and beam foundations. Beams s h a l l be a t least s i x inches wide and not less than eighteen inches i n depth f o r frame construction. Beams s h a l l be a t least ten incues wide and not less (Page Two, Called Meeting, Euless City Council, December 6, 1960) eighteen inches in depth f o r masonry construction. This ordinance shall be e f f e c t and i n f u l l force and e f f e c t upon adoption and publication. A l l Councilmen present voted in favor o f t h i s motion.
